I am not kidding when i say zoners are a crazy lot at least to me . Kind of isolationists almost if it were not for trade. I being a freelancer tired and wanting a drink headed over to the bar when a almost not quite pickled zoner holding his drink and laying his head on the bar said wanna hear some good stories from the border worlds . I though yeah right he is so drunk he is eating outta the ash tray. Ah what the heck i am getting pickled myself after 3 yrs of trade from kusari and liberty. Sure why not tell me your name i said. He replied name hmm boy you know we don't give that out around here beside i may be drunk but i am not stupid. Ok lets get to the story i said. Ah lets begin he replied spitting and hiccuping . First I am the last of my family to come out here the rest are dead or have moved to the new system of the zoners . Anyways I heard from a friend of mine that the nomad systems and all of unexplored areas are yielding alot of profit so me being young and stupid said where and how much . Ah all of new freeports are being built near previously unknown systems one being freeport umm hestitating well lets forget numbers lets say freeport. Anyways he said i jump into the system only to be confronted with those thorn asteroids sticking up like warning signs. I thought o great my so called friends lead me to a nomad infected system. I started looking around for what i called the wilde or at least rhienland soldiers called them. I stopped at freeport in a small asteroid field and preceded to dock. Hmm everything seems normal but nothing normal about this place. People seemed hushed as if afraid to speak or talk to each other as if some tiny secret should slip and death would follow swift and painful. I went up the bar already nervous and said i hear umm you have work?. He slurred abit in his speech which the way he looked he could have passed for an 105 yr old man. He said if you want work look at the board over on the wall dse is hiring and no there is not life insurance laughing and coughing . I thought well why not money was tight so i went over and started looking mostly food supply routes and parts but 1 struck me as odd. Exploration and Salvage . I was tired of hauling food and parts and i wanted some adventure so i signed up. I went over to the bar and said any rooms for rent while i wait for dse to contact me?
