Representatives of the Independent Communist Miners' Guild, I bid you greetings. I am Jeremy Porter, recently appointed Chairman of Volgograd Industrial. Now that the atmosphere within the Coalition has cooled down, Premier Katz has seen the time right to establish a State-owned corporation. My work within the Coalition following the bombing of JiangXi made me a suitable candidate to head such an endeavour.
I am very grateful for being appointed this position, because it allows me to personally talk with the representatives of other groups all across the Sirius Sector. It is a great honour to personally send you this message expressing Volgograd Industrial's interest in establishing trade relations with the Independent Communist Miners' Guild.
I am sure that we have a lot to talk about, which is why I will for now await your response regarding the idea before putting forward the details of such deals.
Greetings, Mr. Porter. I must say, it is a pleasant surprise to be contacted by representatives of the Coalition nation — though we once had some dealings with each other, it would appear stressful circumstances placed upon all of us by malicious outsiders, as well as simple happenstance, have caused our two peoples to grow unfortunately distant.
The Independent Communist Miners' Guild is eager to discuss possible relations with your corporation, and the prospect of aiding and assisting our ideological brothers and sisters is an attractive one.
Regardless, we are unsure of what it is you seek from the ICMG. However, simply state your request and the Board of Directors will get back to you as soon as possible.
(On a slightly less professional note, that's a snazzy logo you have.)

Director Grigori, I am happy to hear that the ICMG is interested in trade with Volgograd Industrial, and I should mention that I am rather fond of your logo as well. It is a terrible shame that the Coalition and ICMG have grown further apart over the course of recent months, but I hope brokering several agreements can help heal the rift.
Volgograd Industrial is interested in both importing and exporting goods. For the Coalition to expand its industrial capabilities, it needs to secure a stable flow of minerals to the factories. I was hoping that ICMG would be able to supply us with these resources: niobium, beryllium, copper and cobalt. These are the primary resources necessary for our production purposes, and things I'm sure you have an abundant supply of.
Things we can export to you include fuels - H-Fuel and deuterium. We can also send to you any items we make from the resources we purchase from you - ship hull panels, engine components, superconductors. We also possess a substantial supply of pharmaceuticals and light arms.
After having discussed this matter, the Board of Directors has decided that your propositions are more than acceptable to us. We have abundant reserves of niobium and beryllium, gleaned from the fields of Tau-23 and Cambridge. However, we currently have but minimal levels of cobalt and copper supplies, which are rather vital for our own use. This is not to say that we are unable to acquire these materials ' to the contrary, it would be easy for us to access them.
The ICMG is also particularly interested in the deuterium, light arms, and pharmaceuticals you are capable of providing. Our colony ships, retrofitted Zephyr-class vessels, have been modified to use deuterium-based engines as a space-saving and efficiency measure. With the growth of our area of operations, transports are at a much higher risk, and light arms would be beneficial to their security. Finally, the ICMG is known for having one of the lowest rates of preventable death in Sirius, mostly due to the fact that, unlike other organizations, the health and wellbeing of our citizenry is our prime concern at all times. However, such health programs are difficult and expensive to maintain; a ready supply of pharmaceuticals would go a long way to keeping our standards of living high.
Simply come up with the figures, and we're capable of providing all that you have requested. We'll get back to you with our own figures shortly.
Here's hoping to a long and beneficial relationship,
David Grigori, ICMG Director of Commerce

Director Grigori, we would not want the ICMG to overstretch itself just for us. Trade what you are able - we would much prefer a low but steady supply of resources over a sudden surge followed by nothing. A steady supply allows our industrial areas which use the resources to grow accustomed to the new system and plan on where to distribute the resources.
Capital-class ships are far more efficient with deuterium fuel, and I am glad that you are interested in us to serve as your supplier. It's a terrible shame that men and women of the Sirius Sector must still resort to crime to survive - or rather, to attempt to reach a better standard of living of those around them. They fail to see that they would be happier if there were no allures of material wealth to influence them. Personal protection these days is a must for any spaceship crew, and keeping the people happy and healthy is a necessary step toward showing the rest of Sirius that communism is a system that works better than capitalism.
I shall contact you with figures soon. We will consider setting a limit, which will assist us in determining the prices we shall pay.
To keep it brief, is Volgograd Industrial still determining the exact numbers of what they require and what they are willing to supply to the ICMG? We've amassed cobalt and copper reserves enough to sell the excess to a third party, such as Volgograd ' or perhaps a simple trade of materials, an equal quantity of, say, deuterium and copper to be exchanged. Let us know if this idea appeals to you, and what we can do to get the ball rolling.

Director Grigori, I am deepy apologetic for the delay. The recent crisis surrounding Freeport 1 and a more private matter has meant that I have been forced to postpone calculating prices until now.
This is merely our initial offer for each ore. If you feel the prices are too low, please inform me and I shall change them accordingly.
Commodity - Delivery Point - Price paid per unit
Niobium - Boa Vista Station and Porto Novo - $1,600
Beryllium - Boa Vista Station and Porto Novo - $1,300
Copper - Boa Vista Station and Porto Novo - $1,400
Cobalt - Boa Vista Station and Porto Novo - $1,500
In the future it may be possible for your transports to be able to ship goods into the Coalition core space of Omega-52. The Politburo's current stance is one of uncertainty regarding whether to allow foreign shipping to pass through our space and dock on our stations. I am trying to sway their mentality however, and any developments on this I will be sure to inform you of.
