Hey guys.
Its been a while. One time i was in 74 back in the days when things were a while lot simple. back in the summer days, ya know?
We had a good talk. I remember when you told me about how important it is to protect what you got. Least i think thats what it was. Feels like its been a hundred years.
I need help guys. I really do.
I have two fleets in my front yard - one wants my freedom, the other wants my life. Ive got a broken freeport after the rheinlanders spent time putting mortars into it for fun. *deep breath* ive got a lot of dead people, and much more then that wounded.
This always happens - everytime they start shooting, they always shoot at us! And thats what they did this time too. I was there, in the summer, leading the defense - we had a good handful of people, mostly merc's, and a few zoners. We told 'em to stay away. but they came anyway. And they shot and destroyed every last one of us. then shelled the station after we were out of the way.
I got banged up too...and the summer got completly destroyed.
And all i see? is this happening again. and my only choice seems to either accept a rheinland yoke, or a bretonian one.
Im not going to do that. I promissed these people i would protect them. protect there lives, as well as their hearts. everyones here for their own reasons, but we all want one thing - freedom. in our hearts, and in our lives. and now, we stand to lose all of that. i wont let it happen.
Im gonna fight for these people. im gonna fight for everyone in this system - anyone who wants the same thing i do. even if i have to do it alone. I wont live on my knee's. i wont have these people do it either.
A long time ago, you stood up, put your back against the wall, and said no more.
thats what im doing. standing up, putting my fist in the air, and saying NO MORE.
everything i stand to lose is worth putting everything on the line.
all i ask is your help. to stand with us. to stand TOGETHER. were all bound together by the same calling. zoners apart just makes us targets, like we are now. the more we work together, there isnt anything we cant do.
will you help us? will you stand with us against those who would take everything from us?
This communication is visible only to Dane Summers and The Seniors of The Omicroners.
Greetings Administrator Dane Summers,
I do indeed remember a carefree spirit encased in a Conference's shell which paid the 74th Omicron system a visit and gave my patrol a bottle of wine to enjoy after the patrol was over. Anthony had most of the wine, but alas I have the bottle still, albeit empty.
I do not have the last say in The Omicroners, alas, the lies with The Quorum, pending no vetoes by The Faceless. All of this is meaningless words to you, but I am having them assembled within the next 24 hours to hear of this issue and I am sure you are glad of this.
Personally, I do not think supporting your station with trading supplies and utilising our contacts to supply you will be too much of a problem. Supporting it military and territorially will. The Omicroners are very wary of Freeport 1, and of the system Omega 3. It is seen for most as a bad omen. I mean no offense by saying this, but it is seen as a bad place, and the birthplace of the incidents which led to the exodus.
Either way, your message has been received by us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Note this however, The Omicroners do not reside between houses, and we would live without supplies from those who call us enemies. Can you do this Administrator Summers? Think carefully about your populace. The Omicroners lost a lot making our stand.
Best of luck, and stay alive till we next make contact.
"as was already said, - support can be expected, should the dire need arise. - however.. we must state that freeport 1 and omega-3 is well outside our political influence - and while it naturally is a backbone and vital relais of our supply routes, we can most certainly not interfere activly.
mind you - while freeport 1 has two houses bragging about authority and making claims out of thin air, we also have our share of wind bags in our closest vicinity who tire not to attempt the very same threats.
what we can do is to order some of our more "incognito" tradeships to slip through any blockade or sensor to avoid a political fiasco to supply you with everything you need.
furthermore, our political experts have indicated that nither house is likely to do much harm to FP1 as it would be in both sides interest to keep the station running. - even if fp1 becomes a scapegoat - it is a useful scapegoat - cause who is there to blame for their own blunder when it was gone ( or taken over ).
our advice is passiveness and patience while keeping the civilian population out of harms way as good as possible.
remember the FP11 acts over 2 years ago. - when massive keeper fleets attacked and nearly destroyed the station, the personell was evacuated to fp15 - where the ZTC welcomed them with open arms. - many of these former refugees have returned to fp11 afterwards ... but some also found a new home. - and fp11 has endured the crisis.
