I just don't see why the AW would be out to kill the Kusari Imperial Family. But if AW wants to be hostile to Kusari, I can't really stop ya. Think it would be better though if you were out to capture them for say a ransom. Be interesting to have a 3-way fight.

You've already declared open season on the Phantoms because of your RP thing so, unless your alien gets killed, there's no way in hell that it'll let the Phantoms hire the AW.

Do not expect the Phantoms to hire AW as a defense, they would not be welcomed and it wouldn't fit the roleplay at all in this case.
I could write-up the story such that AW trying to kill the Kusari Imperial Family made sense. However, I think AW would be expected to become hostile to Kusari because of the act (yes you have a zoner rep, but I think assassination would definitely affect your rep in kusari).
I still like the idea of AW trying to get the family for ransom (that wouldn't affect your rep as much).

I guess that would be fine. Though how would we get them? Maybe after ambushing the Phantoms we take control of the ship they are in after all the escorts are dead. Someone neutral in RP should be the ship they are in. Make it a pirate freighter where the family is "tied up" in the cargo. Then if all of two sides (the three sides being the kidnappers, rescuers, and then the other kidnappers trying to take them from the original kidnappers) got killed the side remainign gets control of the vessel.

Ya most of your ideas were what I was thinking.
My idea for the event is that there would be no respawn for all ships, the Devastator (another nomad battleship) would either be escorting someone in the Kusari Gunboat (ie holding them in a tractor field) or once the devastator is destroyed I would switch chars to the gunboat and go with whatever group survives at the end. Option 2 is probably best since the gunboat wouldn't be allowed to fire since its weapons have been destroyed, and would have to stay with the devastator during most of the fight anyways. The fight would take place in Omicron Delta. The devastator wouldn't be allowed to use SB/NB.
Phantoms would start at Yarren. House supporting group in Alaska. And AW in the Unknown from Gamma.

We will likely do several runs of the event as well. The story will follow and be in accordance with the results of the event. So if AW wins, the story will say they captured the gunboat and offered a ransom demand to the kusari government. If the house supporting group wins, the story will say that the family returned to Kusari. If the Phantoms win, I'll have to think up something nasty for them.
Timewise, looks like Sunday and should be quite a bit earlier (thinking 10am pacific, 6pm GMT). I'll post the exact date and time when I'm sure.
The KRF is barely just starting to run and already we got phantoms and AW to worry about ... maybe i can get my battleship and destory a few zoner bases with it :P

If the KRF want to be involved that would be fanatastic, but it's not a requirement for the event and I am not expecting or forcing the KRF to supply the Kusari Gunboat (although technically it is the one the Phantoms captured). I would perfer to be the one supplying the gunboat and controlling its actions.
I intend this event to be the trigger for the Bretonia-Kusari war. How exactly the two events are linked will be perfectly clear in the storyline after the event. Sufficient to say the war is unavoidable, what the event will decide is the path taken to start it.
