Suspicions are best left unvoiced until you have evidence.
From my standpoint, this has happened before, and it is not against the rules. Battleships lose very little speed from engine killing. With a very high mass value, its not news to me. 15k sounds like a reasonable time to maintain cruise speed whilst in engine kill mode in a battleship. He would have lost around 15-20 speed at the end of that 15k, at the maxiumum, but the Rheinland battleship is very massive, we have to remember.
With the presented facts in front of me, there is very little evidence for cheating, only using the laws of the land to his advantage.
It is also not hard to hit a Rheinland battleship at 1.5k range without it being able to dodge the supernova. After all, it is a big rectangle. No amount of strafe can save it, unlike the Osiris.
I've fought caps that were e-killing while in cruise to try and shake their pursuers, and it didn't take long to start gaining rather steadily. This time, however, we were cruising after you for quite some way before gaining ground. You'll note, however, that no sanction reports were filed and no PMs were sent. That's because while we feel some weird stuff happened, none of it was overt enough to warrant that sort of thing.
In addition, if my people bothered you in-game with accusations of cheating, please tell me via PM rather than starting a thread which appears to be for the sole intent of RHA-bashing. One wrong turn does not actually deserve another, though it often begets one anyway...
Bottom line: I'll make sure my pilots keep such accusations to private, out-of-game channels; and I'll ask you to bring such concerns to me in private so I can deal with them. If that's agreeable to you, then this thread is over.
EDIT: McNeo: That's what I'd begun to suspect; but none of us has ever flown anything larger than a cruiser, and I personally have never done that e-kill maneuver in a capship at all, so we had no reference point other than the performance of our lightweight fighters and bombers.
EDIT2: I don't think any of us suspected Freelancer's physics engine of taking mass into account, really.:P
As I said before, Airage, there is nothing you need to worry about, unless the Admin give you a call.
See you in the fold.
EDIT:
LancerZero is right. While I understand your exasperation, and maybe the difficulty in finding the RHA members on the forums, it would be better to go for a little discretion next time.

Johnny_Haas: but why????

Johnny_Haas: why you shoot criuse speed rockets?
More importantly, the exact same thing happened to me before. I have been in the position of the RHA and though at the time, I found it frustrating, I know that it wasn't against the rules.
Indeed, it was us that got sanctioned, for intentional ramming.
I dont really get it. Every other battleship I fought was down with relative ease, while I get killed in 3 seconds by airage. Seriously, like what in..? Every hit is accurate... I remember those 2 weeks ago we made you run easily, but after we caught up we all five got killed in about 1 minute...
Look guys, I really don't have nothin against you, you are a good fighters and i enjoy fighting with you. But it really hurts when someone is telling you that you don't play fair and cheat. It is what it is, I play buy the rules, i fight by the rules. If it is anything suspicious to you, you should ask admin or somehow look at game engine, i dunno.
Someone sad that if you are in front of ship or directly behind it's instant kill. That is true, because on RH BS all 18 turrets are active so the damage is most. That's what happened when you pursued me, and when i was waiting for you. As I recall at least 2 or 3 of you died while you was directly behind me. I'm probably stupid for telling you this, because I just tell you how to avoid maximum fire.
@LancerZero: Ok sorry for putting it here, but I didn't know who's in charge here. Next time i'll PM you.
@McNeo: True. By killing the engines on my ship, I don't loose to much speed. I can pass for 15K for loosing about only 10 of speed
