I have two requests relating to the Legionnaire:
1) Could they have 4 class 5 slots, or 2 class 5s and 2 class 6s? Currently, they use 2 class 4 slots, which is odd. The Corsairs don't have any class 4 guns.
2) Legionnaire NPCs thrust at cruise speed. You have no idea how annoying this is. Please, please fix them. Currently, it's easier to kill Titan NPCs than Legionnaires.
' Wrote:Nice, thanks for the update. For this asteroid field gas mining idea. Can I ask that the team takes care in selecting the area for these asteroid fields so as not to destroy the atmosphere of the sigma clouds. Basicaly away from areas travelled.
I am the person who did the system changes and initial pricing structure. Aet is doing the FLHook side, and the pricing figures have been passed on to Xoria.
Rest assured the mining zones won't interfere with the travelled areas. They can't, as they need to be moved a minimum distance from docking points to make the system fair for pirates.
In the process of setting up the Gas Miners, I noticed a slight difference between the miners in Okinawa - they don't show up on the minimap as "Gas Miner".
As the mining zones are tiny, and centered on a Gas Miner object, I used that to advantage. Now the gas miners that are close to bases are just for decoration like they are now. These miners are no longer labelled on the minimap. It's the miners you CAN get gas from that are labelled on the minimap. This provides a neat workaround for not seeing the mineable zones show up on the map because they are too small.
If you want more information regarding the Gas Mining Mod - look in my signature. It isn't exactly how it will work as that thread was made well before Mining 2.0 came out, but the screenshots look the same (not the minimaps though) - and were designed not to detract from the look of the local nebulae.

As for the other 90% of my work. Well, call me Chief Rumormonger of Gallia. Thanks to my work laptop, I am able to do one faction's rumours for one system per day.
It's a tough call sometimes. We have very little information to go on other than the faction outlines as posted here on the forums, and a few base infocards. After the eleventy-billionth rumour, you start to either repeat yourself, or start grasping for ideas.
I mix it up with some technical rumours explaining some of the uses for various commodities, as well as commentary on some of the landmarks of Gallia. I also try to throw in mixed or opposing viewpoints or hot topics like the war in Sirius, opinions of the various 'terrorist' groups, and the relationships factions have with the Gallic Crown.
I will be looking to get more training off Xoria soon with regards to preparing rumour documents for incorporation into the mod. The more i can do to get the material ready - the more he can be freed for more technical work.
Overall, nearly every House has had some station changes made to it.
Kusari, Malta and Gamma haven't had any changes. Actually forgot about them.
Changes will continue to be made for the foreseable future, with the first batch implemented in 4.86 and more afterwards in the subsequent updates.
