How long has it been since our last meeting? Too long, I'm sure! The information you've supplied has found it's way out to new owners through various channels. And the profits have been good! I've deposited your share in the usual place, for you to pick up at any given time. I've made sure that the 'transaction' is untraceable. It's getting harder for me to get hold of the objects you're asking for as payment, so we'll have to sit down, just the two of us, and discuss our strategy.
Let's get down to business here... Do you have anything interesting for me? Preferably something we can use towards an 'economically sound' group. I'd really like to be able to bring in a ripe payday for me and my crew... and you, of course. I've also recieved discrete questions from intelligence agencies. I have no idea why they call it 'intelligence'... These guys couldn't find their butts with two hands. Anyways... They're interested in anything we can get hold of, so I figured... Why not take advantage of that, and sell them whatever crap we can dig up? *he says with a sinister laughter*
Get back to me as soon as possible, and we'll have a quiet meeting.
Some time sure has passed but I still keep in mind our business relations. I will send one of my men after your reward so don't you worry about that.
Now about our next deal. It is big this time. A few days ago me and my partner encountered an Independent Neuralnet Division Liner. I wondered why it wasn't so talkative but after i scanned him, i understood it all. He was transporting their Financial Codes somewhere. He refused to hand them over so we had no other choice than to force him to do it. In the end his escape pod went out to explore deep space and I was flying away with the Financial Codes onboard.
You never stop to amaze me. I will make inquries, and see if I can find a buyer for this "sensitive" material. It seems that these are codes for accounts that are unknown to the authorities. I bet the IND themselves will be most interested in getting them back. If not... I'm sure I can unload them to an interested third party.
I will contact you later, but in the meantime, you keep an eye on those codes! We don't want them to go "public", now do we? *smiles from ear to ear*
I always appear at the right place, in the right time. Hope that you will find someone interested in those codes soon enough, 'cause i am pretty nervous around here. This is not just a couple of millions we are talking about here. I checked the data and those codes contain billions in them! Very sad that I cant get those myself, don't have proper connections in the banking system. And don't you worry about it's safety. I will through away my grandfathers relic and store the codes in my safe.
I've been able to negotiate a deal with Mr. Bigshot himself, Jonathon Winchester III. He was obviously interested in seeing that those codes didn't fall into the hands of someone... "Not cleared for that information", as he himself said" *laughs* We're supposed to meet up in Omicron Theta to finalize the deal, but in view of recent week's series of ion storms, he wasn't very keen on undertaking the long trip from the Omegas right now. He didn't spell it right out... but I got the feeling his ship had been damaged in the first storm. Patience is the key word here... The codes aren't going anywhere. They are safe and sound on my ship.
Maybe it's also time to start looking for a new deal. I have some ideas, but it would be good if we could discuss them. Get back to me when you get this message!
*Ronnie Rayburn appears on the screen with a strengthening drink in his hand, flashing one of his characteristic smiles*
[color=#FFCC33]My friend!
The deal is closed. Mr. Winchester of the IND coughed up the agreed 75 millions, and got his precious codes back. The man is a Player, and I think we'll do business with him again some day. And you should see the inside of his ship... *rolls his eyes and laughs* I never even dreamed of an interior like that. All the exclusive materials you could ever wish for. The ship just breathes wealth!
But enough about that. *gets all serious* Do you have something interesting to offer? The ion storms must have caused a mess among our, so called, "intelligence agencies". *shakes his head and chuckles* I still don't understand why they keep calling it "intelligence". The only intelligent thing for them would be to just close it all down. But I guess we should just consider ourselves fortunate that their competence isn't higher. It gives us so many more options to choose between when dealing with them.
Check in on my ship, and fill me in on the latest intel!
Rayburn out! *the screen flickers again, and goes dark*
I've finally reached my apartment. I have something that might interest you. I'm sure that you can find some way to use it. List of rheinland double agents is at your service.
I keep it in New Berlin system for safety. Noone will be looking for it there when it is right under their noses, right? *chuckles* They are monitoring all systems around New Berlin and my men are working hard to give them a false path to follow. I am trying to keep a low profile anyway so dont worry about it's safety.
I was beginning to think you were dead, or something. Or that you'd found the girl of your dreams and left this way of life. But here you are... *laughs* Back in business again. I guess someone like you can't stay away from the action, heh? I have to say that you've brought back something really interesting here. So far... No one seems to know that there's been a leak, but you can bet the crap will hit the fan if this goes public. I'll make some discrete inquiries, and see if there's any interest. I'll check with the Krauts first, and if they don't wanna play ball, I'll just blackmail the LSF a bit.
