Dear sir or madam,
We have received a pleasurable message from your corner of space. As it seems the Emperor Jien Kogen has been expelled from Kusari. With him gone from the throne we would offer you peace between your state and the Colonial Republic. The reason for the war we had to fight is gone and the people of Kusari are free from the warmongering tyrant, free to start anew.
We would like to help you with this fresh start, as I can imagine you, as well as we lost a lot when the Gallic Kingdom invaded the Taus, so I would not only like to offer you peace, but also trade agreements with the Colonial Republic.
I am here to alert you that members of cabinet as well as the Prime Minister are in discussions on this very topic, we will get back to you as soon as they have reached a decision.
We never took the words of the Colonial Republic as a real threat to Kusari, your actions spoke more than your words ever could. While it is true that the former Empire took part of the responsibility for the hostilities between Kusari and the CR, it does not make the Colonial Republic less responsible for their choice on the matter.
Therefore, I am glad to announce that the "war" that your government decided to start, did not cause a single casualty to Kusari. Most interesting of all is that your efforts to get a free passage through Kusari are nothing but futile, the Colonial Government made its choice already, now you have to live to it.
At the end of the day, the Kusari government deems the Colonial Republic to be unstable, and liable to make demands well above their capabilities. If its leadership underwent the same kind of change that we in Kusari have - perhaps this issue could be revisited. Until that day comes, the Kusari Government does not seek diplomatic dialogue with the Colonial Republic in any substantive manner.
Signed
Prime Minister Shimura Yokitara
Republic of Kusari
