Greetings and Konnichiwa to all who might read this. With cessation
of hostilities between the houses of Bretonia and Kusari, we here at
Gateway Interstellar have decided it is in our best interest to begin
to open up some negotiations with neighbors to the north. This being
said, Gateway has never been a Bretonian governmental entity and
this message in no way poses as any political agreement between
the two houses.
In truth, ladies and gentlemen, it is a trading proposal through and
through. A mutually profitable business opportunity at that. My name
is Walter Godwin and I am the standing Director of Trade Operations
here at Gateway Interstellar, as post which I've held for some time
and I've been through more than my share of conflicts and negotiations
in my years. This being said, in times such as these, with sour feelings
to repair and economies to be rebuilt, a helping hand from across the
border is the perfect remedy to the situation.
To business. Kusari councilpersons, I bring to you an offer of contract.
Allow Gateway Interstellar ships official rights into Kusari for open and
safe trade to all Kusari proper systems. Trade with New Tokyo,
Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku would be profitable for our small
corporation but it would also be a boon to your economy as well.
Gateway Interstellar specializes in moving all types of items but raw
materials are among our most common cargoes, leading to profitable
transactions for both of us.
I realize that many in Kusari might be hesitant to allow a "Bretonian"
corporation into their stations; if Kishiro or Samura would wish it,
docking access to their stations could remain closed to our tradeships.
Having said all of this, the next question you would have would be
'what could you possibly offer us that we would accept this, you are
merely a trading organization'. To that I say we are very good at
our jobs. Our company has standing contracts with several
organizations who can provide raw materials from various locations,
often at prices lower even than if you were to retrieve those cargoes
yourself.
A partial list of cargoes we have access to is as follows:
Raw materials such as Cobalt, Copper, Diamonds, Gold, & Silver.
Industrial materials such as Mining Machinery & Robotics.
Finished products such as Consumer Goods, High Temperature Alloys,
and Superconductors.
These are merely some of the products we would be able to begin
moving immediately. In top of this, the amount of product our
company would purchase is also to be considered. Our contacts with
the IMG perhaps for shipbuilding supplies as well as manufacturing
materials such as Polymers & the finest Kusari electronics like
Optronics & Optical Chips. Not to mention a need to supply our small
planetary offices in Liberty and Rheinland with various retail products.
Instead of boring you with more trading details I have outlined a
small sheet which provides the basic information of an arrangement,
changeable at your leisure.
Gateway Interstellar hereby has access to lawful
trade within Kusari proper, with equal civilian legal rights throughout. New Tokyo Kyushu Honshu Shikoku
Gateway Interstellar can lawfully land on all civilian planets and
stations within the aforementioned systems. Exclusions are:
Yokohama Shipyard
Yukawa Shipyard
Fuchu Prison Facility
Gateway Interstellar has trading access to all legal trading commodities
as per the Kusari Legal Codex. The following exempted:
None
Gateway Interstellar will move no cargoes through the Tau systems unless otherwise arranged.
Gateway Interstellar provides security wings for all hazardous or high priority cargoes via our
internal fighter wing and via hiring of local contractors. Product delivery is our highest priority.
I await your response and negotiations upon this subject.
Sincerely,
Walter Godwin
Director of Trade Ops
Gateway Interstellar

After reviewing this, the Office of Foreign Affairs has come to dispute a number of these points.
Point 1: This point is not disputed, you will have access to all four Kusari core systems, congratulations.
Point 2: You are restricted from landing on the following bases: Planet Kyushu, Tsushima Station, Yokohama Shipyard, Yukawa Shipyard, Fuchu Prison Facility. You must understand that allowing a Bretonian Corporation the legality to trade within our home systems may still be a soft spot for many of our citizens.
Point 3: You are disallowed from hauling the following commodities - Artifacts, Marines, Nuclear Devices, and Human Organs. You must again understand that there are some things that still need time to develop a trusting relationship between Kusari and your corporation.
Point 4: This point is not disputed, you will not be allowed to haul most goods through the Tau systems. Your codes are barred from the Kyushu and Tau-29, any attempted use of this jump gate will be seen as a criminal act subject to fines, suspension of contract, and termination of cooperation.
Point 5: Your security wings are welcome, though no more than three escort fighters are to be allowed to cover any convoy. This limit is strictly enforced. Any attempt to use more than this number is seen as a criminal offense.

Subject: Trade permissions inside kusari
Miss Ishida, Konnichiwa,
It is indeed a pleasure and a privalage to be able to speak with you. Unfortunately our Trade Director, Mr Walter Godwin, is unavailable to reply so i get the honour.
We at Gateway Interstellar will, of course, abide by your stipulations in allowing us to trade and pass through Kusari in peace and as friends in the coming months and years.
With your permission i would like to relay this favourable message on our comm channels so that all Gateway Interstellar pilots will know and learn of this.
