From the Desk of Rico Barbarossa, Acting commander, Casablanca base, Omega 47.
Brothers, Esteemed Leaders, My Friends.
Our recent reinforcement of Casablanca base has been a modest triumph that has strengthened the boundaries of our great nation.
It has of course brought with it a renewed vigor and resentment from the Hessian scum, who will ever seek to unravel our purpose with their vindictive spying and petty assaults.
This we can easily withstand.
Lately however we have seen assault from heavier craft, and though we hold well, we are pressed for re-equipment. A recently constructed supply depot was lost just yesterday, for example, and is a particularly grievous blow.
In short:
Casablanca has recently come under renewed aggressive attack, and we hold, but our supplies grow thin.
As acting commander of Casablanca station, I have recently made several temporary trade agreements with the following groups:
[SKULLS]
[CSA]
Any small independent transport we can find from the Zoner Junker or Freelancer ranks.
These outfits will deliver various base supplies and munitions to Casablanca, and will have Centinelas del Cielo navigators on the bridge of every vessel.
Those navigators may be contacted directly, and in response to the code phrase [size=medium]"What flag do you fly under?" Will then respond:[color=#FF0000] "We serve the skull that sits in blood". Their destinations shall always be to or from Casablanca base.
I ask humbly that these ships be allowed free passage to Casablanca, that we may continue our defense.
I also express the fervent desire that once our own supply requirements are met, we may use these trade agreements to assist your own construction efforts. These groups are willing to serve the empire.
Together, let us build an empire.
Let it be built upon the bones of our crushed foes.
i will forward your note to my hermanos and to Commandante Jose. On a personal level though - amigo, how do you justify bringing known, bounty hunting slavers to Corsair installations? Yes i am talking about the so called SKULLS....rumors have it they are just that. When i see a slaver, i do what i have to - i shoot him down and bring the liberated slaves to a Freeport, no exceptions. Slavery is the way of the Outcasts and their supporters and a honorless and cowardly buisness and i am sure may Corsairs feel the same way here.
Other than that - i wish you good luck on Casablanca base, i will surely join the next tournament again.
First of all, Senor Barbarossa, I am not sure who appointed you Commander of Casablanca base since this matter has not been discussed by the Council yet. As far as I know the Brotherhood handles business there and chances are the station will remain under their command.
Second, your so called trade agreements need the Council's approval. Besides, an agreement with, I quote, any small independent transport we can find from the Zoner Junker or Freelancer ranks, is reckless and stupid since we can't allow any scum out there access to Casablanca. The poor condition of the station means we could lose it to sabotage very easy and I cannot stress how important that installation is to the Empire.
In other words, no foreign ships are allowed to even get a visual on the base without the Council's approval, let alone dock. However, I will take your request to the Council Chambers and we will make sure extra supplies are shipped to the station as soon as possible.

Honored elder.
I've been careful to put the "acting" element into the title. Until I get a notice from the esteemed leader of the Brotherhood, this was simply in order to temporarily get things in order:
Casablanca was under attack. We went in to defend.
Our presence is established under the watchful eyes of TBH and Benitez, of which both groups have graciously aided our efforts, and even helped with supply, defence and recreation.
In our time here, a system survey was carried out on behalf of TBH which required extensive activities.
I make available to you a transmission from the esteemed leader:
Obviously the adminsitration of such an effort, as well as the continued defense of this system, requires a fortified base from which to maintain it.
Since the previous administrator, was unavailable, I simply took his desk (His blood took a little while to clean off).
In the meantime i urge you to support us with any efforts you can make: Even your presence, esteemed elder, would raise morale:
The Torneo del Perdido, for example, is run weekly from Casablanca, and you are very welcome to adjudicate:
One of your own pilots has held the title for no less than two consecutive titles.

Hasta la vista Senor!

Honored elder,
Forgive me, I understood that slavery was legal in our provinces - I had understood the supply of outcast body parts to be an important part of our medical supply chain.
Admittedly this information came to me from a miscreant at Etna base, and I have been played upon. My gullibility is thus revealed, and I am ashamed for it.
another short remark, so no misunderstandings are possible here - while slavery is not outruled within the empire per se it is still the buisness of Outcasts and their supporters, and thus frowned apon. My commentary on taking down any of them i see is more of a personal vendetta, i believe you should honor every man or woman - there is no glory in pushing the weak or a beaten combatant - either you give him an honorable death or another way continue on with an honorful life, mind you my personal codex here.
Also..formalities - for rulings concerning the Corsairs in general i have no influence on decisions there, this is the honorful job of the Elders of the Corsair Council, where Elders Chico and Jose represent my famila wise and dutifully. My buisness as an elder is only for matters with direct involvement of the Benitez familia, so on our conversation here i am just the messenger who mouthed his own opinion.
My perdon if i caused a misconception here Senor. I hope you and your group prosper and grow, do so with the wisdom of the Elders Council.
