Aubert.
I'm not sure if they had informed you about what happened here. The Normandie was boarded two weeks ago. They killed everyone aboard. In fact, it's a single person.
I saw the message on my private terminal. I'm a prisoner of war now. I don't know what she's going to do of me, but I suspect she still have a heart considering she allowed me to send this message to the void... a message that you'll never read now.
This was supposed to be my last assignment on the Normandie before I returned to Ile-de-France and asked to my father the authorization to leave the Royal Navy and settle on a small island I bought a month ago on Nevers. They finished to build the house a week ago. An island with only water all around it, far from all these conflicts that lost their purpose centuries ago. A new life for us.
Wherever you are now, I hope you found the peace you waited so long for. But I promise you, as long as I'll be alive your heritage will continue to exist and I'll do what has to be done for it to persist once it will be my time to leave as well.
Wish me luck love, hopefully my end won't be as soon as I expect it to be.
With my only son dead, there's no heritage to continue anymore. His corpse was returned to the Core Worlds yesterday, alongside this communications pad and his dog tag.
Now it's just matter of months until my time also comes and perhaps earn the chance to meet him again, and tell him that I did regret from the very first day allowing him to enlist this bastardized Navy.

Monsieur Giroux,
It is with great sadness that I send you this reply. I hope you understand and trust my word when I tell you I share your pain. I too hope that I'll be able to meet him again soon, up there in the infinity of the universe, but not today. Not untill our legacy will be fully able to fight by itself without my assistance. Aubert may be physically dead, but he left something priceless. Something that will shake up to the foundations of the Gallic Kingdom itself. He left me pregnant. For the first time in the history of the Gallic Kingdom, one heir will be the union of a royal and an ordinary man. One heir that will make all the nobles gasp for air when they'll hear the news, because they'll know that their reign is coming to an end. One heir that will unite all the Gallics beside him and ask for revenge to the Royal Palace itself. One heir... that will be a new beginning for Gallia, an era far from the tyranny of my sister and her minions.
This is why I can assure you, that Aubert will never be forgotten and I am already at work.
Stay safe, they'll be looking for you.
