The following images were taken in the Kansas system in the past 24 hours. The Legion needs some explanations. [1][2]
I'm going to make this short and sweet. The Legion has a good relationship with the Order, and a history to back it up too. But for the love of all that's good, get that Osiris the hell out of Kansas.
Oh, yes, there was a Cerberus Gunboat present too. [3]
Not quite as big an issue. However, I've been told both of these ships were supplying Nomad organic materials to a certain base; a base which the Legion may or may not be inclined to destroy, depending on how negotiations with The Outer Project develop.
Thus, I'd like to request that the Order pauses its activities in Kansas for a short period of time while the Legion asseses the current local political instabilities. Get that Osiris out of there before it brings the LSF down on our heads, too.
Signed, Admiral Kinnaird
ADDENDUM:
We have just received word that both vessels were invited to the base by its owners. Regardless, we believe it would be wise if you could extract that Osiris before it causes any more trouble.
I took responsability over my shoulders when I transmitted the order to NEX to move the Cerberus warship Thanix into the Kansas system. Since in Kansas, Cerberus is operating for quite some time, there was never a necessary call to arms like this. As you probably know, the current installation orbiting Wichita, was also a counterpart of Cerberus. The station known as Key Axial, was created not to intend tensions between different groups that oppose the Corona, The Outer Project and even us. Despite the diplomacy between the Legion and the other 2 groups part of this alliance Cerberus is involved, we protected our interests and technologies from Axial. Due to this action, The Order is not directly involved into this. Cerberus is. I am aware that Thanix indeed shot several salvos at the first Legion scout, only for warning intentions, that we are part of Axial as well. A reason why the war vessel was sent there, was that Planet Wichita could be under threat by Liberty forces and other groups, due to the last activity within Kansas, and of course the temporary protection of Key Axial. Cerberus activities within Kansas, never interfered with The Legion's affairs.
I cannot comment on Nomad organisms. And for the future of Kansas we pictured, I shall remove any war ship presence from Kansas. We will remain on neutral ground. But of course, we will oversee the activities within Kansas.
For your information, the Legion is temporarily withdrawing military assets from Kansas while discussions with The Outer Project continue. I understand that you have concerns about Libertonian military forces - conerns we also share - but for now, we recommend simple discretion. Do not hesitate to inform us should you encounter Navy or LSF forces that you are not capable of handling on your own.
I do acknowledge that previous Cerberus activities have not interfered with the Legion's intesrests, so I believe that it would be ultimately beneficial to maintain this status quo.
Your timely explanation and response in this matter is appreciated, Mr. Synk.
Admiral Kinnaird. Thank you for resorting to a comm channel before assuming the worst,
as has happened in the past. I believe the matter has been adequately explained. We will
keep this comm channel open in case any matters of mutual concern arise.
