1. No, but the larger question is, do they intend to reapply for official faction status.
2. If no, then docking rights for Corsairs should not be a matter under AW's purview. However, considering the NPC presence, it is doubtful that Corsairs would be welcome on bases that are largely inhabited by, used by and patrolled by hostile NPCs (Bounty Hunters.) This is secondary to the "war" issue, but still applicable.
I. I believe the dog has finally gnawed this bone of contention to the point where we will be seeing a change. However, until this change is announced and official, I will maintain that the AW's membership on the Council of Zoners be honored.
II. The AW ID was created, and should probably still be utilized. Freelancer affiliation is tough, so I'm told, but is it any moreso than Zoner Guard? Whether Outcast affiliation is chosen would of course depend on whether the AW wishes to foment a full-scale Outcast war with Gamma, because no doubt that's what would result.
III. At present, the need for "Zoner Guardians" in Theta, except for isolated pirating instances, is questionable. Yes, the Harvesters are a new threat to Zoners; bu that is true throughout Sirius, not just in Theta. While I would not object to continued Zoner affiliation for the AW, I think they should drop the pretense of existing solely to "protect" Zoners and Zoner interests. Can't do that when you're off having a nice war, eh?
My compliments to those who presented reasonable comments and suggestions.

As the AW lost it's official status, do they still control Omicron-74?
As far as I'm aware you have to be an offical faction to purchase a system, therefore if you lose the offical faction stsatus you lose the system.
Otherwise theres nothing stopping other factions becoming offical, then losing that status and still be allowed to enforce whatever laws they like in the system they purchased. Besides which being able to buy a system is a bonus for working to become an offical faction as far as I'm concerned.
Quote:If the AW does not have space of it's own, do they have the right to patrol those places? What would happen to all those non official factions who try to do the same?
They can patrol all they like, they can defend/attack people too. But, to my knowledge, they can't create or enforce laws without buying a guard system, which as an unoffical faction they cannot do.
Quote:If question number one is yes, then, AW ZoI would be O-74 and all systems connected to them, like Theta. Would this order from McNeo be legal? I thought that docking ships on the enemy territory was not allowed, and considered as being OORP. And that leaving ships on enemy territory was considered as camping. They should be hostile to their NPC, hence unable to dock there.

============
I don't think the answer to question number one is Yes.
Quote:Other questions. For all to answer:-
Should the AW retain Zoner association?
No, infact I never did agree with the AW being zoners at all, since the AW are nothing like zoners in anyway shape or form.
Quote:If you think that the AW should not be affiliated to the Zoners. What other NPC do you think the AW should be affiliated to?
Merc's would fit the best as they use to hire out their services. Other then that... freelancers maybe.
Quote:Do you think there is anything not right with AW current politics / behaviour / RP? If so, specify.
As stated above I don't agree with the AW being zoners because they don't act like zoners. No comment on the RP as I only have old RP stories that I was involved in to go on, which would be unfair and extremely biased.
Quote:I think that, before this war is structured, and allowed, those points should be clarified first. Objectives should be set, and timed battles should also be agreed upon, so this can be defined once and for all.
Nothing wrong with that at all, though I would like all the political posturing kept out of the message dumps and comm channels that have nothing to do with either group. Though thats a personal preferance.
Quote:Flames, off topic, childish behaviour, and the like, won't be tolerated here.
I'm not going to bother with my usual cynical response.
Quote:Answers have to be justified. I don't want to hear a "no, cuz 1 d0n't laik them". I want to hear reasonable answers. This is a reasonable topic, which might also help to reform the AW, if a reform is considered necessary.
The AW would have to under go a massive and complete overhaul as well as going through the offical faction request process if it wants to reform as an offical faction. It most definately will not be accepted in its current form.
If you mean a reform of the faction so that it fits better, with a possible attempt to become offical again in the future, then it might be easier to start again, instead of trying to rewrite the faction to fit.
I don't think so. I share the opinion of other people who stated that AW was never really acting 'zonerish'.
Quote: If you think that the AW should not be affiliated to the Zoners. What other NPC do you think the AW should be affiliated to?
Outcasts. Being a Freelancer factions asks for question of purpose. And you would have to change completely.
If you choose Outcasts, you can just continue your story. Being close to Outcasts, Zoners decided your behavior is dangerous for their goals and pushed you away from Zoner affiliation.
You had no other choice but to join the Outcast nation. Or something in those lines.
Maybe Outcasts would give you a shelter on Palermo in exchange for your services of Eta defense?
Quote:Do you think there is anything not right with AW current politics / behaviour / RP? If so, specify.
I think AW is using too much capital ships, though it can be justified as they were defenders of Theta.
If that is to change, I expect AW to bring their ships in line with other factions. That means mainly flying smaller crafts, and capital ships with escorts.
Also, I would recommend you to drop your old vessels, like Rheinland bombers (if you didn't already, I don't know. If you did, sorry.), as well as Corsair guns (tizonas and coladas mainly).
I know they were purchased before the war, but that doesn't change the fact that you can't justify them in RP.
Once you loose a ship, you loose your guns. And in war, you loose many ships - and you can't buy the new ones from Corsairs.
Your behavior and RP in game is perfectly fine, so no objections there.
I hope to see your faction proposal soon.:)

As far as I am aware, yes, AW lost it's official faction position, hence all systems/bases (Omicron 74).
Yes, you should patrol Theta, to fight the war with the Corsairs there.
About that order, you should drop first the Zoner affiliation. The Zoners are currently on neutral terms with Corsairs and vice versa (NPC Diplomacy).
I would suggest to link 74 to Eta, and roleplay as Outcasts/Hessians, trying to keep the Corsairs at bay, preventing them from building a base on the other side of the minefield, and destroy the Outcast presence in that system (Eta).
The best faction which suits your RP (AW vs TBH war) are the Hessians. As mercenaries, you can be hired by the other factions, Outcast allied. This way, you will keep your Mercenary story up, and get a fair cash out of it:)
Funny how the AW only appear in numbers when there is a sniff of a war, isn't it ? Fallout from the really
old days of being an extension of the rather sorry bunch ... The Warriors of Aesir.
Now as I remember their sole aim was just to try to take territory on any server they had presence on,
then write songs about great victories ? Rather laughable in the current roleplay situation on this one.
You lost your official status, as there were no wars engineerable on the horizon, so no one wanted to be
here on this server, so membership died ... You start from scratch.
Its time to move on, and to re-write the RP. Korrd I believe, would like to take the faction in a new and
relevant direction now. Thats what it needs, or call it a day.

The only thing what disturbs me about AW is their Zoner affiliation. It just doesn't fit their roleplay. Therefore I'd say tehy lose their Zoner affiliation completely, get AW IDs and no tag. And about Omicron-74... AW is not official anymore, so they should start from scratch, request that AW gets official again and rebuy Omicron-74. That should also include enforcing laws in Omicron Theta. No unofficial faction should have a right to enforce their own laws (Bit elitist, I know, but hey, PvP factions wouldn't be able to enforce laws which are utter nonsense).
The AW should start again and maybe become an Outcast faction that is sworn to protect Eta from the Corsairs. I have seen random AW guys online, but i think you need to start some serious recruitment.

Don't ever lawyer about rules in system chat. No matter who's right or wrong, it's stupid.
If you want to discuss something, contact me in PM, or simply report the rule that was broken.
But deciding who's dead/fled and who's alive after you died and watched the fight is not really nice.
You are veterans, guys, act like ones.
Thanks!

I remeber a guy shuting in Cali (some time ago) something like that: "You are fleeing! it's means that you are dead! Leave this system! Dock and next log off !" Bealive me or not but I didn't know if should I cry or laugh..
So that's true what chopper said, it's wretched behaviour, and I must admit that it happens very often.
EDIT:
here is a small clarification of what I wrote, "the guy" was neither from AW nor TBH and even not involved with any faction , just an independent "hero" flying a cap ship. It is for for those who could missundertand my statement and construe what I have wrote.

So this has what to do with AW/TBH situation feedback?
