You're awesome. Take a gander at my sig animated-pic to see who I am, we've already met. Click all the links in my sig, and join the BLS, as I think you're the best kind of newb there is.
Welcome aboard... I really do hope you stay. Most people hardly understand the server rules and mechanics, much less take time to understand them. I hope you stay along for the ride.

Treewyrm Wrote:all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
Stay here for a short time?
Heck, with that introduction, I doubt it'll be possible.
*glances at Del and Zapp, bringin' the chains out*
Anyways, you probably will find that the server is quite... addictive, to say the least. And with your way of handling things, you seem to be a great addition:)
Oh, and of course, welcome to Discovery! Fly safe out there!
Edit: Sorry Joe, it's addictive of course. English as third language for the win;)
Even with Juan gone, we've still got a Grammar-Nazi. [/off topic]
Anyway, y'all show very good judgement in introducing yourselves this way. And it seems you've been being have (behaving?) well, so good luck to you. And if you see any of the Adler fleet around, be prepared for a fight you Hackers!
With an intro like this, I doubt anyone will take any umbrage at your presence. Welcome to Disco. Enjoy your stay, and I hope it becomes an extended one.
If you want to leave, then leave ! But come back one month later, OK ?! If you want, I could take care of your stuffs during this time... ;7
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
Hurk hurk hurk...

I found this post by accident but I gotta say my recent run in with these guys was actually quite awesome. These were the folks that RPed with my Trader, robbed her for the cash but then later helped and showed her a better path and what not. If there was a point to cause a lot of havoc and trouble it would have been right then.
While a lot would consider that mostly out of OORP context, you gotta consider any interaction that lasts more than three seconds and isn't blatent e-drama is meaningful... at least to me.
So as a new player myself I also hope you guys stick around and luckily you didnt meet every creep at once like I did. "Addictive" is a fair description but I think I'm still in denial that something like this game even exsists today. Trust me you will not find many (if any) games that revolve around the regulations and try to keep an community with focus and effort and do a great job of it. You're gunna have bad grapes but I didnt let it spoil the bunch.
