Quote:The intention is quite clear, and even if I repeat myself for the third time now, it is only in Daumann's interest to weaken the Red Hessians. By making it generally more difficulty for OSI to move cargo around in Sirius, OSI are receiving heavy repercussions that hurt their trade and thus also indirectly the Red Hessians. Simply a corporate warfare with the goal to weaken ones arch enemy, really. The law enforcement deals with OSI inside the borders, but that is far from effective enough. It boils down to terrorists attacking a country, convicted weapon supplier gets banned and hunted even outside of the country borders. Not hunting them because "why should it bother [the victims]" when the suppliers are not in in the country borders would be fairly illogical.
See that makes alot of sense, the only thing against that is, have you seen OSI doing any work for the Red hessians latley? INRP or OORP. I understand the bounty and its reason stated above, however after some time it would be noticed that OSI have stopped such actions probably because of being banned from Rheinland and the bountying, so would the "mercenaries" just keep on going forever and ever and ever, or realize, hey OSI have kinda left and stopped supplying our enemies maybe we should actually focus on our enemies.
If we were still plowing on and supplying the hessians then we are fair target, but as far as i know, we dont all that much if at all.
If this is the logic to follow then technically we could just turn around and bounty anyone sirius wide who have attacked OSI whales. They may be people who dont do it anymore, but they have in the past they MIGHT do it again so we best keep that bounty going. You see where im coming from on this.
Not saying the bounty wasnt justified, but its based on old actions. We do not actively promote the supplying of Hessians nor do we have any contracts with Player controlled Hessian factions or their PoBs. Its almost like England destroying German Navy ships because of what happened during the World Wars.
I'm afraid that this is most likely due to a certain paranoia in roleplay about the whole issue. The conflict caused Daumann to lose trust in OSI, I mean before they had good relations actually, but that was just replaced with caution back then.
Also, nothing prevents you from bountying your tormentors sirius-wide, it's a logical consequence from their actions.
Comparing this to England and German situation is not entirely accurate, I think. Contrary to England and Germany, there has been zero reconciliation between Daumann and OSI or even between Rheinland government and OSI. Although the OSI has attempted to solve this, I can understand why Rheinland government would still be grumpy about the subject.
It also honestly isn't as easy as out of sight, out of mind. While they can not confirm directly that OSI is still shoving supplies to hessians, they also have no evidence that denies it. Given that the trust is lost, they are still quite wary.
Wary yes, but being wary doesn't necessarily mean blow up OSI on sight either, that's just plain paranoid. Theres a slight difference between treating something with caution and out right violence. Treat OSI with suspicion by all means, like with any Zoners we have a unique position of mostly being on the fence between Lawful and unlawful, but 2 years on attacking OSI outside of Rheinland space just makes it seem like your holding onto a grudge for the sake of it. As i said before if we had been carrying on then fine its logical to keep the bounty, but at this point in time is it needed? or could it be just a case of keeping your eyes and ears open. Perhaps keep the bounty active for Rheinland Space, since we still have no right to be there and hessian space since the bounty is to keep us from supplying the Hessians, so outside of their ZOI and your own what we do shouldn't really bother you if you see what i mean.
That'd be something the leadership needs to discuss then, I'm just here providing some points to consider. Changing the range of the bounty could be an option. It's also something dependent on the personality of the characters in charge and also which way the players behind these want to go.
Greatly appreciated feedback, Aazalot, pointing out flaws in the bounty board. It was not expected to be perfect just yet, I guess.
Its just keeping things in perspective as well, dont look at a 2 year old bounty and think YES WE DO DIS! no, look at it and see if its still relevant. I posted in OSI forum about a certain group being on a KOS alert, its not relevant now because said group died, but if they reappeared i wouldn't immediately state they are still on KOS because its out dated information
I do not enjoy being treated like an idiot and a lolwut who "hacked" channels.
As a faction leader I have the right to enter roleplay when the player that is addressed irply reported the message his char received irply to the Guild, which I represent.
It is by no means unrealistic that the Guild would take over the conversation about a fine that is way too high to be paid by a single pilot who likely makes a few 100k per month. Of course this is handled via the Guild.
Treating me like a lolwut twice who just entered the conversation between 2 parties here is uncalled for, unprofessional and in my opinion extremely bad style.
Because real talk - you guys should know better than to say 'lol xd hacking our channels IMG??'. You sent it to them, for God's sake.
While I'm not 'directly related to the incident in question', or whatever, I do have to say that (from a viewpoint I would consider very neutral, by the way) that stunt by Vipex should shame any official faction. If you'd treated me in the same way, I'd have gone nuclear within minutes.

That's the way to deal with criticism. Labelling it as "Jack's followers, who mindlessly do what he says".
