The Large Train has the two glowing engines in the hud, but nothing else. Almost like reflections of a candle. I would be happy to provide screenies if needed.
About 1 in 5 undockings from Bship Nagumo in Kyushu undocks a Heavy Transport into the ships superstructure and hangs it for 30 seconds. Eventually you can slide out of it.
One base (I think in Omega 49, will check tonight) hung me up good trying to undock. It took four F1's and lots of thrashing to get out of the closed bay door. I was flying a Raven Claw.
I need to ask them more about the location, but two teammates have had the "danger, high radiation" warning, then died instantly. These were in VHF's. I believe in the Dublin area.
It is unrealistic to allow Large Trains and Battleships to dock with anything other than planets. Even the Heavy Transport has major graphics glitches undocking from a station (because it is so long, the launch sequence puts the pov behind the station, then you undock through the superstructure).
Most bases I have visited (looking for missions to make money) say "Come back when more friendly", but even a bribe to the base owners doesn't get a list to show. So, this makes the Discovery mod purely trading since you can't fight for money. Unless you have po'd a faction, there should always be missions available. I have noticed this is true in Tau29 and Tau31 so far.

The cockpits location is a the center of the ship, thats why your seeing the engine exahust

Happens with some battleships, mostly with Kusari because it has so many wings, Battleships have Docking bays for Freighters and fighters, and hardpoints for Transports and bigger, its the same with leaving, your going to leave the ship via a hardpoint.

That would kill most aspects of Discovery, not to mention that If theres a battle in Tau-23, you don't want to spawn in at Leeds, or somewhere in Kyushu to get there.

Some of the Original bases never came with Missions, also have to take into account that Zoners, don't provide missions, and If the other factions on that base, wether corsair, BH, whatever, isn't very high there wont be missions for them either.

i think we should make the Projectiles on the Solaris and all Cahinguns Faster seeing as they are useless against fast fighters they cant even hit a Damn nomad Fighter
or even a BH
lets see.. first people complained about the lag from it and now we're complaining that they don't hit on target?
Guys, it's all about knowing HOW to aim.when it comes to most weapons, if they're moving forward, you gotta aim in front of them. look for the red crosshair that moves with the ship.. try to keep your cursor on it and open fire. That works for me for the most part. :)
As for the train thing.. Nothing we can do about that. A lot of mods do the same thing unfortunately.
Job missions.. Zoners don't give out missions like Angel said. even if you bribe em enough, you may have to F1 in and out or re-dock to get missions. the bar scene doesn't change till you leave it or reset your game.

You should be able to just go to the equipment shop, and back to change the people inside, but, as wolf said, for missions, dock, undock, re-dock, repeat.
As for the chainguns,
Your problem may be from having something else firing as well.
It doesn't set the red cursor where all shots will hit. Only where the shots
from a specific weapon will hit.
I recommend you try grouping your weapons so you have a chaingun only group and a regular weapon-only group (preferably of the same projectile speed, or most of THOSE will miss, too).

Perhaps for larger vessels, we should place a transport hardpoint, much like battleships.
However this is Igiss' field, not mine, and i don't know how to do it.
Play a Microsoft CD backwords, and it plays satanic messages. Play it forwards, and it does something worse - It installs Windows.
Well zoners give ONLY BH missions...... and that if you are...... minimum somwhere with one square behind the neutral line at the rep window.
And about that re-dock thing. You must just get out of the bar and enter again, only the bartender sayes the same thing/ gives the same bribe.
