So, I'm pretty new to the server(about 3 weeks) and it seems to me that the Liberty Lawful factions are almost non-existent. I made a couple Navy characters just to try and combat the pirate infestation but there are so many that it is futile and it really makes it hard to enjoy this game for me. since at peak times I get ganked by 5 or more at a time. Where the hell is [LN]?
Also, it seems that the Liberty lawful characters only help when they feel like it which seems like serious OORP to me. I just logged off as there were 10 outcast bombers in new york and I asked some LSF and a navy character for some assistance to try and drive them out and there was no response. They just sat and hovered over norfolk like they always do. Anyway, are the LN, LPI, LSF dead on this server? Does everyone make pirates now?
1) Liberty is easy and biased towards activity; being both the starter system for new characters and the central trade route between all houses.
2) PvP in Disco, as talented as you are as a pilot, tends to be a numbers game. It's average to not be able to win a fight when its 1 vs 3 2 v 6 etc. ratio.
Personally I think your right.. Liberty Lawfuls 'are' only lawful when they feel like it.. LNS are pretty much there only to show off that they have a cap ship and be legal about it. they rarely RP (A few I know are good RP'ers.. but rare.)
the LN are at least semi-active, where the LPI are pretty much non-existent.
Honestly most of the good roleplayers are within a faction inside liberty instead of being indie, or at a completley diffrent area such as Kusari, Bretonia, or Rheinland. (Gallia is.. pretty much dead)
Try moving out of liberty and into the surroundings I think you will enjoy yourself a bit more because the people actually are fun to be around.
Well, I really enjoy the role play but I enjoy a good pvp match even more and it just seems if I want a fair fight, i have to go to connecticut. To me it seems like all the lawfuls are so afraid of losing outside conn that they just don't engage in any fights that there is a possibility of losing.
Just before logging off, i flew into colorado in my bomber and came up on 2 players that were pirating a trader and I RPed that the trader should make a break for it and I would hold them off. It was a GB and a vhf and I eventually lost the fight but the trader still got away safely and to me, it seemed like a victory.
I guess it's just going to take some getting used to how this server operates. I used to play on DiscoUSA server about 3 years ago and their rules were MUCH different. Players had to chose a faction once they reached lvl 35, you couldn't just be a freelancer and do whatever you wanted. Also, you couldn't pirate in anything bigger than a GB which seemed much more real to me. I just can't picture a battleship disrupting trade lanes to rob traders in a RL situation but it happens all the time on this server. lol
Anyway, the main reason I made Navy characters is because of the enormous amount of criminal activity in Liberty and I thought it would make for some good fun.....still waiting for the fun XD
There is the 41st Naval Task Force out there. I am the rear admiral of it, quite a high ranked person. We try to do as much roleplay as possible and are always lawful
Fellow I urge you to give me acc name I would send you 25m to make rogue or OC bomber and try to be unlawful in liberty, try the other side flying alone for 1 week and come to cry about the hordes of LNS etc then.
What I mean is that you as new player have little chance vs older players in pvp.
It is good idea to find people to roam around, if you want to be lone wolf you need to be at least average in PvP.
It is interesting why you haven't tried to contact the local liberty lawfoows, they got emergency chat and stuff and are quite spaming in numbers actually.

(yes, i've seen enough of those lolduels, where house military with overwhelming force on the field willingly loses a pilot in a duel. ffs.)
Generally speaking, the hesistance comes from being unwilling to deal with those massive pirate lolsquads without support/even numbers - otherwise, you might just be running to your deaths and the 4-hour lockout.
Send me a PM with your Skype name (if you have Skype - many do here; it's our preferred form of non-forum communication) or add me on Skype, and I will add you to the Liberty Lawful Training and Emergency chats.

lol I'm not crying about anything, and I am new to THIS server, not the game. I played for 2 years straight and then took a 2-3 year break so I AM a bit rusty but I do just fine in pvp. Hell, in a 1 vs 1 I have yet to lose in pvp since I started playing again, although I must admit that those situations are very rare . Anyway, I wasn't trying to come on here and whine about anything, I am just new to the server and wanted to see what was up with the Liberty Lawfuls.
