    Areas of Interest

    Nebulae

    Nordnebel

The third drift of the Walker Nebula in the Stuttgart system. Historically, the Nordnebel was a quiet sector with only minor criminal activity. After the Cologne-Stuttgart connection was finalized, criminal activity within the cloud drastically increased, preying on civilian ships in the area. The Nordnebel was the site of a major battle late in the Rheinland Civil War.

    Westnebel

A drift of the Walker Nebula. Red Hessians are often seen within the cloud. Hessian pilots typically stage raids on transports of food from Stuttgart, and tourist service liners heading to Baden-Baden.

    Ostnebel

A stray wisp of the Walker Nebula. Red Hessians often use the cloud to organize attacks against traffic along the nearby Trade Lanes. Rheinland Police also believe that Farmers' Alliance terrorist activities originate from here, though they have so far been unable to locate their base of operations.

    Asteroid Fields

    Karlsruhe Debris field

    >>>CAUTION<<<

This field was formed by the Rheinland Civil War’s Battle of the Nordnebel. It contains the wrecks of the Battleship Karlsruhe, and support ships from the Altenburg and Westfalen fleets. Due to the highly toxic material leaking from the reactors of the ships, salvage operations are extremely hazardous. ALG has been offered a contract to isolate the highly radioactive reactor cores so they can be safely disposed of.

Junkers have been sighted in the field, despite subcontracting being prohibited by ALG’s terms of appointment. Many consider the cleanup effort to be an impossibility while the reactors are still ‘hot’, and see this project as little more than political theater. Despite this, New Berlin remains concerned about the possibility of radioactive materials or Military secrets falling into the hands of the Farmer’s Alliance, Red Hessians or Bundschuh.

    Highly Radioactive Waste Field

A highly hazardous scrap field full of toxic elements and substances hidden inside the thick orange clouds of the Ostnebel. Rumors suggest it was an illegal old Imperial Stuttgart dump site, although no official records exist. Recent spikes in high radioactivity appear unrelated to the field's original purpose, leading to speculation about its weaponization for an unknown cause. Even the Junkers are hesitant to commence cleanup efforts.

    Wrecks

    Rheinland Fighter - C-3/2

The wreckage of a fighter lost during the Rheinland Civil War's Battle of the Nordnebel. Due to the inflicted damage, it is not possible to tell whether the vessel belonged to the Imperial or Federalist fleet.

    Kantoku - F/G-4

The Kantoku was flown by Kusari Farmer’s Alliance commander Yuuki Osada. It was reported as lost in 834 AS. Damage patterns are indicative of the bomber’s mines detonating internally.

    Ogama - D/C-3

The Ōgama was flown by Kusari Farmer’s Alliance commander Kishin Oike. It was reported as lost in 834 AS. Damage patterns are indicative of one of the bomber’s torpedoes detonating internally.
