Safeguarding Samura's business interests across Kusari space and beyond has never been an easy task, but one that throughout the corporation's early years could be reliably handled by contractors and state authorities. Following the violent coup of 321 A.S., however, Samura found itself threatened by a new, more daunting enemy than the humble pirates and highwaymen who roamed Kusari's trade lanes. Striking from the nebulae and asteroid fields came the Blood Dragons, seeking bloody vengeance against those who orchestrated the death of their shogun and the slaughter of their brethren. And so, Samura was forced to create its own security wings.
Eschewing much of the heavy weaponry bombers usually sport, the Shirogane relies exclusively on a twin torpedo mount for anti-capital ship duties. Instead, this light bombercraft is capable of carrying the same fighter weapons as its siblings, the Tetsu and Hagane, and typically embarks alongside them on combat patrols and scouting missions. Designed to first dispatch hostile warships and transports before swapping roles and engaging enemy fighters, the Shirogane is a true multirole craft and an invaluable tool in the defense of Samura interests against the ever increasing means of the Blood Dragons and other criminal organizations.
