The first Ahoudori explorers were constructed in the late 5th century A.S., a period during which Kusari invested heavily in the exploration and charting of surrounding star systems. With the age of the Empire's exploration and expansion long since having come to an end, modern variants of this old but still capable design continue to be manufactured by Samura Industries. Now more often serving as heavy gunboats for freelancers and independent companies, the T8 Ahoudori still maintains much of its ancestors' capability for long-distance flight and stellar exploration. With fuel-efficient engines, a suite of powerful Kishiro-made sensors, and a spacious, comfortable interior, the Ahoudori continues to be employed to investigate the far-flung reaches of the Sirius sector and discover new worlds and riches.
