It is not recommended to take one of these into combat, as some find it's length a problem.<br />

Born on Planet New Berlin as a Rheinland Military officer's son, Izii Helfari was destined to join the family tradition of military service. After his recruitment into officer's training at the age of 16 Izii's father, Major Dunbar, had been an escort leader for researchers that had recently been investigating ancient alien dig sites and relics found in space. Of course, it was during the Nomad War that he was revealed to had been infested and part of the Wilde known to plague the Omegas today. It is assumed he perished among the large part of the Wilde who fled into the Omegas after the Nomad War. As part of this, Izii was always held under direct scrutiny, despite the nature of his father's 'defection' to enemy ranks. It was not long after the Nomad War that Izii Helfari resigned from the Rheinland Military and departed in his civilian fighter for parts of space unknown. Thus starting his career as a Zoner.<br />

It would be a long military career for Izii, reaching the rank of Feldwebel within the 62nd Infantry Division, which prior to the Nomad War was on duty boarding pirate vessels and stations in space as part of a 'sweep and clean' objective. In the years leading up to the Nomad War, he was reassigned to a more direct role, now a Leutnant, was the C.O. of his own group of Rheinland Military marines, tasked with boarding actions throughout Rheinland disputed territories and deep strikes across several areas Rheinland found itself fighting in. It was during this time the Nomad War had begun, and boarding parties were becoming more hardened and considered elite marines at the time.<br />

In the aftermath of the Nomad War, all manner of tests were performed on all Rheinland forces who did not immediately flee into the Omegas. After subsequent screening for infestation, Izii Helfari was put back into duty with his division, and re-purposed towards a boarding-defense crew on at least three seperate Rheinland Battleships. During one such skirmish on the massive boarding walkways, when a Wilde controlled Battleship managed to cripple a Rheinwar Battleship and board, Leutnant Helfari was strained to his limits as they were confronted in combat by those wearing Nomad War era Rheinwar uniforms. Leading a strike team, while tasking his N.C.O.'s to hold the line on the Rheinwar's ship, Izii stormed the engineering sections of the old battleship and planted charges to scuttle the ship mid-space and force an end to the skirmish.<br />

Regretting his decisions, and possibly from the Gallic infiltration of the Zoners groups, he has abstained from major Zoners events and set a new sight on the ominous news from beyond Orkney of the Gallic invasion forces being amassed. During this time he was offered a position in the short-lived Zoners Defense Force and accepted the role of Commodore over the Omicrons. After the Zoners Defense Force disbanded, due to conflicts within the Zoners and outside the Zoners, he stationed his vessels at the Omicrons on a more permanent level, now his ownership of vessels increased to a Fearless, Aquilon, and a lightly manned Whale transport, he's frequently seen residing in the Omicron Sector. Though is known to make private excursions to distant Zoners stations in the Omegas and Taus.<br />

As of recent history Izii Helfari was present at a skirmish around Freeport 9 and subsequently shot down. Labelled as M.I.A. amongst Zoners Guard records, his almost inhuman survival and recovery after that battle has raised questions into his person and required several screenings for Nomad infestation at the Sparta station. Eventually he was cleared for active duty again and given control over a recently reconstructed Aquilon carrier.<br />

After seeing the turmoil of the recent Zoners problems, the once-Commodore has grown detached from what some consider "official voices" of the Zoners people. However he respects these organizations, he likewise has grown bitter towards them. Sometimes questioning their authority and positions. More recently, however, even more conflicts within the Zoners begun from outside and within, forcing him to focus more on the Nomad threats in the Omicrons and Omegas. Especially more so with the abolishing of the Zoners Defense Force that once had active captains who kept watch over Das Wilde and Nomad threats. With the silence from these sentries, one can only expect the worse for independent Zoners such as Commodore Helfari.<br />

==Military History==<br />

It would be a long military career for Izii, reaching the rank of Feldwebel within the 62nd Infantry Division, which prior to the Nomad War was on duty boarding pirate vessels and stations in space as part of a 'sweep and clean' objective. In the years leading up to the Nomad War, he was reassigned to a more direct role, now a Leutnant, was the C.O. of his own group of Rheinland Military marines, tasked with boarding actions throughout Rheinland disputed territories and deep strikes across several areas Rheinland found itself fighting in. It was during this time the Nomad War had begun, and boarding parties were becoming more hardened and considered elite marines at the time.<br />

In the aftermath of the Nomad War, all manner of tests were performed on all Rheinland forces who did not immediately flee into the Omegas. After subsequent screening for infestation, Izii Helfari was put back into duty with his division, and re-purposed towards a boarding-defense crew on at least three seperate Rheinland Battleships. During one such skirmish on the massive boarding walkways, when a Wilde controlled Battleship managed to cripple a Rheinwar Battleship and board, Leutnant Helfari was strained to his limits as they were confronted in combat by those wearing Nomad War era Rheinwar uniforms. Leading a strike team, while tasking his N.C.O.'s to hold the line on the Rheinwar's ship, Izii stormed the engineering sections of the old battleship and planted charges to scuttle the ship mid-space and force an end to the skirmish.<br />

While successful, it was on retreat back into the Rheinwar's battleship, across the boarding walkways, that Leutnant Helfari was struck by a plasma charge. Noted injuries in the field were the liquidation of his left leg, left arm, and the loss of his left eye due to shrapnel. Carried back on board by his second in command, he was not able to see the end of the skirmish as the Wilde battleship blew into pieces and the walkways built against their vessel's holds were severed. After spending seven months in a military hospital on New Berlin, Izii Helfari was commended for his services, and his unit given a complimentary citation before being disbanded. Reasons for the dissolution of his division were unknown, though it was at the end of the year he submitted his resignation while stationed at Vierlande on guard duty, and was honorably discharged from service.<br />

==Zoners Guard History==<br />

Situating himself within the Zoners at a hectic time, Helfari joined the Council of Zoners in it's final year before it dissolved entirely. Regretting his decisions, and possibly from the Gallic infiltration of the Zoners groups, he has abstained from major Zoners events and set a new sight on the ominous news from beyond Orkney of the Gallic invasion forces being amassed. During this time he was offered a position in the short-lived Zoners Defense Force and accepted the role of Commodore over the Omicrons. After the Zoners Defense Force disbanded, due to conflicts within the Zoners and outside the Zoners, he stationed his vessels at the Omicrons on a more permanent level, now his ownership of vessels increased to a Fearless, Aquilon, and an augmented A.I. vessel, he's frequently seen residing at Freeport 11. Though is known to make private excursions to distant Zoners stations in the Omegas and Taus.<br />

As of recent, the former Leutnant has opened research into A.I. technology, and finished the 'Calypso Processor' which, by his scientist's measure, can emulate Nomad communication, enabling it to track and destroy higher-ranking Minds of the Nomad organisms. Usually this vessel is spotted in the nebulae in the Omicron-Delta system, busy at eliminating Nomad mind nodes in space. When not actively engaging Nomad targets, it supplies Freeport 11 with extra power from it's own grid, and sorts through messages for Zoners who request it's assistance.<br />

It can move, it's shape is small, so small most ships ignore you're even at the fight until you unleash rapid-fire death from behind. This ship makes dogfighting in space a viable thing again. Too often fights end up as endless jousting competitions. Little ships like this Liberator take any common jousting pirate and make them feel the pressure. Mine spammers have a harder time hitting something that has the shape and agility to avoid all the nukes they throw at it. A modest power core, perfect shape, and good gun placement. This little ship's sorely underrated, and deserves a proper reputation.<br />

The Tiger Shark is a unique vessel with its foundations in the bygone days of [[Rheinland]]'s commercial might, designed as it was to serve the desires of the young, the rich and the reckless as a sporty racing vehicle. Those Sharks seeing modern production are engaged in more militaristic ventures, from escorting [[Republican Shipping|Republic]] convoys to serving as enforcement vehicles for off duty members of the [[Rheinland Military]] or [[Rheinland Federal Police|Police]] looking to bring in bounty money by hunting down pirates and dissidents. While considered expensive to some, the Tiger Shark is a solid workhorse vessel capable of delivering plenty of punch to folks wishing to ruin a good day.<br />

Though, Rheinland seems to have had time and money to make a working civilian light fighter worth it's price. Agile, good profile, and modest power core. These things sum up a good light fighter, as well as the imprint it leaves in enemies. How often do pirates, or anyone for that matter, see a light fighter flying around Sirius? Especially in the Border Worlds like Omicron-Delta. It can survive fighting with Nomads out there, with ease if you can handle flying something so sleek and fast. The most successful layout for this ship has to be the strangest one I've seen. A pilot by the name of Turkish put in two class 8 debilitators, and two class 9 missile launchers. Using a hit and run tactic, wearing down the shields on an enemy Corsair player, he managed to put enough missiles into that Corsair fighter and eventually make it pop all over the Freeport.<br />

Smaller and more maneuverable in comparison with other ships of the same class, the Destroyer has enough firepower and hull strength to counter the most fearsome opponents. {{Review|[[User:Lieutenant|Lieutenant]]|The Zoners "Fearless" destroyer is an exceptional cruiser, being small, maneuverable enough to keep a sluggish pace with bombers, and having enough firepower to take the fight to ships on par with it's class. It has a 'Little Mac' syndrome for it's size packing a powerful punch, if filled out right. The vessel has four guns on top, the front center gun only able to aim a 180 degree arc, usually this one is best saved for a capital-class mortar, razor, or missile. The other three can aim in any direction except directly down. The bottom guns consist of three in the midsection of the ship, just like the top three, and two on the edges of it's rounded profile. The two outer edge weapons can match the bottom three, or be a foreward-class weapon. In my case I outfitted the Fearless with one Light Mortar for the top and front gun, two Razors or Pulse cannons for the bottom two on it's edges, and Solaris guns for the remaining 6 twin "triplets" on it's top and bottom for fighting off fighters and bombers with equal ease. Otherwise, it offers much to customize towards the taste of the pilot on weapon usage and placement. Its smaller profile and agily needs to be noted, as in a fight this destroyer's low profile and size lends you an edge to be the last capital ship targetted, as you are unassuming and tiny against the backdrop of larger cruisers. While its front guns can look in entire 360 degree vantages, the rear guns can not face directly ahead. It has a small 45 degree wedge cut into the rear guns' ability, which emcompasses the front of the ship and slightly down below. While it can fire foreward, it suffers if a target keeps low and center, where only the four frontal guns can aim. This ship is devastating if a vessel decides to flank it's top, or rear bottom. The rear guns and frontal guns having full reign so that at least four guns fire at one time. Directly behind the ship, all six guns may fire freely. While obviously the top frontal guns can not aim down, and the bottom frontal guns cannot aim upwards. The Raven's Talon is one of the [[Independent Miners Guild]]'s most popular ships, and despite having been on the open market for quite some time, this ship remains the first choice for many pilots. Designed to the highest standards, the Guild has made the Raven's Talon to be a formidable fighter indeed. Built with a substantial power core, excellent handling, and reinforced armour plating, the Raven's Talon is made to survive in the hostile environment of the [[Border Worlds|Borderworlds]] and serves admirably under all conditions.<br />

The Raven's Talon can be found in service across Sirius, having made its way into the black market, and is sold all over the sector. In addition to being flown by IMG pilots, it can be found in the hands of mercenaries, freelancers, pirates, and many others. Its popularity is in no small part due to the rigorous quality standards the Guild holds itself to, making the Raven's Talon one of the most durable and dependable ships on the market.<br />

The Raven's Talon handles much as it looks, mildly agile. The heavier weapon payload and power supply makes it a ship that can fill out for many pilots. My first pick as a ship since my first days on Discovery, the Raven's Talon's a superb ship if you want a balanced mixture of firepower and speed - along with the ability to improvise for payloads suited to your style of fighting. While this ship is by no means the 'best' very heavy fighter, it offers a chance for players to feel out their style of combat and weapons. It's response time for turning is a little sluggish at times, something I noticed in sparring bouts with a Bastet very heavy fighter, but it is a ship open to most civilians and most factions, making it a good pick for those not affiliated with military or pirates.<br />
