The "Odin" is presently considered as the workhorse of the Red Hessians, destined to slowly replace the Border Worlds fighters as the mainstay of their forces in the Edge Worlds. Designed as a heavily armored version of the Loki, this fighter exhibits high speed and maneuverability while still offering a good degree of protection from both environmental hazards and enemy gunfire. Its well calibrated stern mounted reactor allows the ship to keep its engines on high power, while still allowing it to deliver an energy weapon punch worthy of its namesake.

Review (4.86)
The Odin is thoroughly classified as a relatively large, although agile VHF. It's armour rating isn't especially high, and neither is it's power storage. When properly handled however, this ship has the potential to easily dodge enemy fire. It's specifically flat shape and reasonably fast strafe means that vertical strafing is especially effective against enemies directly in front or at the back of the ship. The torpedo slot is placed at the front of this ship's cockpit. When equipped with a Mini Razor, the targeting process is very effective with the projectile flying straight forward without the need to compensate for angles. In the hands of a skilled shooter it can become a deadly weapon. Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Blodo |

I concur with everything Blodo says, but want to add that this ship should be favored over the Sabre by any Hessian, who thinks he is not able to use the Sabres existent, but hard-to-master advantages. The Odin offers a great package, combining agility, power, armor and a small enough size. This ship has no major flaws.
