The Battleship Strausberg was initially scheduled for launch in 814 A.S., but due to a series of explosions caused by the Unioners at the Oder Shipyard, it was not launched until 815 A.S. Upon its commission it was immediately stationed outside Bonn Station, after the Rheinland Military High Command had become concerned about intelligence reports that Interspace Commerce is covertly supplying the Red Hessians and the Unioners. In recent years it has also been instrumental in reducing the amount of LWB raids from Stuttgart, and the Rheinland Military has so far resisted pressure by politicians to move the battleship to the Hamburg system in light of Liberty aggression.
