Description

Being an advanced and heavily reinforced version of the Bounty Hunter Destroyer, the Battlecruiser is a rare and expensive ship used for missions that involve countering enemy capital ships. Hull of this ship can withstand fire of heavy battleship weaponry, and advanced energy supply provides for impressive firepower. However, due to its reduced maneuverability the Battlecruiser can become an easy prey for enemy bombers, and it is advised that this ship should not enter battlefield without fighter escort.

A very active user of this ship is the Bounty Hunter Bianca Chevalier.

Criticism

The battlecruiser has been under constant criticism by the Discovery community. Constantly accused of being overpowered. As it's name suggests it holds a small fraction of a battleship's powerplant and firepower (two class 10 battleship turrets and slightly over half of a battleship's power while still maintaining the use of a thruster. Many have protested it be downsized on 1 or all levels of it's functioning. Some disagree by stating it's size and strict maneuverability make it an easier target than regular cruisers if approached by a skilled and shrewed player. However it is not clear whether the statistics of this vessel will be changed in the next version.

Reference

The Bounty Hunter battlecruiser's model is one that strongly resembles the Corellian corvette from the star wars series. It is almost certain this model will be replaced in version 4.85.
