A large station within Wilkes Ice Field, Aland was built in 810-817 A.S. by the Independent Miners Guild. The Guild used unoccupied space between two trade lanes to construct their first shipyard capable of building and maintaining large vessels. Additionally, the building site attracted a number of refugees from Holman Outpost, South Shields Refinery and the Hood who were seeking for jobs and safer places to stay. Now, Aland Shipyard has become home for over a thousand Independent Miners who came here from Bretonia and Omega Border Worlds.
