314 The Gallic Metal Service corporation is created in a merger of several large mining companies.

422 Planet Marne is discovered by Gallic explorers.

501 Ile-de-France Shipping Company is founded on Planet New Paris.
527 Gallic Metal Service completes construction of the Alesia Station in Burgundy.
531 The mass colonization of Planet Marne by lower class workers, brought from the various Core System planets, begins.
569 EFL Oil & Machinery builds Reims Station in Champagne.
576 The mass transportation of lower class workers to Planet Marne for colonization comes to an end.
585 Avallon Station is built in Burgundy by the Gallic Royal Navy.
597 Bourbon Massacre. The Unione Corse penetrate Bourbon Base and kill all its Junker inhabitants, the act that was surprisingly left unavenged by the Junkers.

7th century

606 Junkers built Bourg-en-Bresse Space Port, their first and only base in all of Gallia or Sirius built within the system of trade lanes.
607 The Maquis establish their base of operations in Languedoc, It is called Limoux Base.
625 Chalons-en-Champagne Station system is built in Champagne.
625-630 Dijon Station is built in the Burgundy system, becoming one of the largest installations ever built in Sirius or Gallia.
626-628 The Maquis attack major cities on various planets in the Gallic Core Worlds, including New Paris, Blois and Lyon.
636 King Louis IV disbands the Mouvement de Liberation Gaulois (Gallic Liberation Movement). Its remnants start forming a union that will later become known as the Council.
656 Construction of the Macon Base begins in Burgundy.
658 Montmirail Base is built by the Council in Champagne.
689 Metz Station is built in the Lorraine system.

8th century

710 A massive worker rebellion begins on Planet Marne.

717 Resistance of the Royal forces on Planet Marne comes to an end.
718 Courville Station is destroyed by the Council.

  • The forces of the Gallic Monarchy lose all control over the Champagne system.
  • The Council attempts a large-scale offensive against Lorraine which is repelled, resulting in huge casualties for both sides.
722 The Council begins making preparations for its Dauphine and Languedoc offensives.
725-728 The Council repeatedly attempts to gain strategic advantage in the Dauphine system without success.

727 Grenoble Depot is hastily built by the Council to prepare for the Languedoc invasion.
728 Part of what is left of Courville Station in Champagne is re-pressurized and turned into a defensive installation for the Council.
729-733 The major offensive of the Council against Royal Navy forces in Languedoc.
730 The Council captures Nimes Station in the most bloodless action of the Second Gallic War.
731 The ground operation starts on Planet Quillan, with the Council and local guerrilla forces fighting against the Royal Army.
732 The Council fights a massive battle to liberate the Montpellier Guard Station in Languedoc and gain access to the minefield.
733 The Council clears a path through both the Languedoc and Lorraine mine fields and breaks the isolation of Gallia from the rest of Sirius.
