The Guardian is an advanced version of the Defender. Being cheaper and easier to produce than the Avenger, the Guardian features some advanced technology that allows it to survive even in the most remote Edge World systems.

Review
When it comes to Very Heavy Fighters, the Guardian is representative of the all-purpose middle ground, its main attraction being the ability to do practically anything. The Guardian is fairly fast and is difficult to hit, traits that make it virtually unbeatable in the hands of an ace pilot. It is similar to the Sabre in most ways, though it is smaller. It is slightly slower than its Border Worlds counterpart but to an extent that it is hard to notice. It is used by most of the ace pilots in Liberty, and for good reason.
