One of the newest installations owned by BMM, Birmingham mines the abundant gases found in the Manchester system. Mining from both the Birmingham and North Sheffield Ice Fields, attacks from the Gaians during the operation aren't uncommon, due to Birmingham's supplying of Planetform Inc for various terraforming projects, most notably the recently started Cold Bay terraforming operation in the Hudson system.
