Once a small Junker base orbiting Planet Skagen, Bornholm Depot was the only installation in the system seriously unaffected by the departure of the RNC Schwerin and her battlegroup. The Junkers of Bornholm were content to be left to their own devices, picking through the debris in orbit while glad-handing the errant Corsair or Coalition patrol that might wander through. Then the Core arrived.
With no interest in the credits or trinkets the Bornholm Junkers were so proud of, the Core gave them an eviction notice. Though displeased about having to set up shop elsewhere, the Junkers cared more for relocating than war. Planet Rugen had accumulated a significant debris belt as well, and furthermore the Core extended an offer to protect Bornholm once relocated for reasons unknown.
Nowadays Bornholm serves as the closest thing to a port of call for traffic in the backwater system, mostly attracting Corsairs and Core pilots who cause the occasional security incident on the depot.
