Based on the same technology as the rest of the CM series, the CM-5 Countermeasure is heavier than its counterparts and contains more sophisticated seeker suppression systems, thus making it more capable of intercepting mass-seeking projectiles. However, efficiency comes at a cost: the refire rate of the CM-5 is three times lower than the refire rate of other countermeasures.
