Located in the heart of Montargis Asteroid Field, Epernon is one of the few unlawful bases in the central systems of Gallia. Just like a number of other similar bases, it suffers from overcrowding. Strong law enforcement also prevents raiders from operating openly out of this base. Yet, Epernon is an important black market hub, with many goods smuggled in from the Core Worlds switching hands here. The base was founded around 300 A.G.S. and came under Unione Corse control around 500 A.G.S. . Not many official records of its former operations exist, although it is known that it was involved in supplying Normandie rebels during the First Gallic War.
