While Police Plaza can handle the theoretical training needs of LPI officers, to train pilots in pursuit and interdiction required a different facility. Galesburg was built with this in mind, featuring multiple hangars for the maintenance and deployment of training craft. The nearby Quincy asteroid field is often used as a training ground.
