Hermann Vogt, (born April 23rd, 762 A.S.) is a high ranking commander in the Hessian movement, and a member of the Red Hessian Revolutionary Council. He is currently in ideological opposition to Brigadegeneral Kaspar Meisnerr over the treatment of Rheinland and other revolutionary groups.

Vogt's doctrine of Rheinlandskrieg envisions a Red Hessian focus inward and a cease of close relations with many of the distant revolutionary movements. While hindering Hessian trade options, it would also allow for greater Hessian resource commitment to its own wars.

While formerly overlooked, Vogt's ideology is gaining ground as Meisnerr's gains are being reversed. He is now a serious force in the Red Hessian movement.

Personal life

Hermann Vogt has been with the Red Hessian movement for as long as anybody can remember. Like many others, he climbed the ranks through merit and personal sacrifice. He achieved the rank of Oberst in early 800 A.S. and has served as a strategic supervisor and occasional fleet captain ever since. He has been elected to the Revolutionary Council each year for the past four years, and was expected to deploy his own brigade that would rival the Red Hessian Army and Rot Front in the next few months. This all changed with the Coalition relations freeze. Although not spoken of publicly, everyone who knows Vogt instead expects him to make a play for the most prolific brigade in the Red Hessian movement: the Red Hessian Army itself.

Vogt himself is a dry individual who wants to make a name for himself by leading the largest force that Rheinland has ever seen on New Berlin - regardless of the result or the bodies he has to step over to do it. His tunnel vision towards this goal coupled with his brilliant strategic thinking has put him at odds with all those who continue to believe in the original goals set forward by the Bundschuh, now embodied by the Volksrevolution doctrine.
