Ibusuki is a recently constructed astrological survey facility, located at Planet Saigon's L1 Lagrange point. Operated by a joint administrative delegation of the Gas Miners Guild and Kishiro Technologies, Ibusuki is the product of several months of diplomatic talks between Kusari and the GMG regarding the precarious state of the Sigma-21 system. At an estimated sixty percent completion, the facility is largely functional, with the unfinished sections composed primarily of crew quarters and zero-G research modules.
Though incomplete, the facility boasts a cutting-edge sensor suite capable of monitoring and reporting the most minute of meteorological and geological changes on Saigon, allowing instantaneous alerts of imminent danger to be cast to the planetary Survey Team. The station is additionally equipped with an extensive hangar for docking and maintenance of up to six trans-atmospheric shuttles at a time.
Kishiro and the GMG have deemed the security and integrity of the station in the diplomatically-tense Sigma Border Worlds to be a high priority risk factor. Upon completion, Ibusuki will be hardened against potential threats in the theater of operations by a warship-grade Iridium-Molybdenum alloy armour matrix.
