Konstanz Border Station was one of two command centers for the Rheinland Federal Police in the Stuttgart System, up until the collapse of the Omega-11 red giant that caused the complete destruction of the system.
Following the supernova, it was decided by the Rheinland Government that the base should be dismantled and reassembled in Frankfurt. There, a break was created in the Trade Lane to Munich to accommodate it - and the intersection that will run to the new Sigma-15 Gate that resides inside the Taunusfeld.
The station is there not only to ensure the safety and control of the traffic originating from that system but to also increase the security of the EFL operations as the Gallic corporation completes the lane to their new Jump Gate to the Sigmas.
