A warm oceanic world with small islands suitable for human settlements, Nevers was the first colonized planet in the Gallic Border Worlds. High property costs didn't encourage a speedy population growth and there were no easily accessible mineral deposits for industries to take advantage of. Conditions on the surface were recognized as very pleasant, and led to an extensive tourist industry. Currently, the planet is one of the most well-known resorts in the Gallic space. Despite the war, Nevers remains a relatively safe place, and convoys with tourists coming to and from the Core Systems are very well defended and rarely subject to attacks. Nevers resorts can house up to a million people, but a recent census puts the population at roughly 450.000.
