The station began as an outpost used to construct the much larger [[Niigata Station]] which was needed to maintain control and security of the system further in. Years later, when Niigata was complete and not being a wasteful sort, GMG retrofitted the outpost into a small shipyard in order to build, repair, or modify the ships GMG uses today.
