Yaren was established in 802 A.S. as a meeting point for the Corsairs and members of the Order, during the time in which they were allied. The Order obtained supplies and Artifacts from the Corsairs in exchange for supplies and technology - eventually even leading to the Corsairs obtaining the schematics for the Osiris-class Battleship.
As the Corsair/Order alliance fell apart however, Yaren lost its purpose. With no traffic to raid and no Artifacts to collect in Omicron Delta, the base was largely abandoned.
