While the Drone has served Samura well for many decades, the development of the J-series ships inspired the company's shipwrights to spread their wings further and design a new freighter, free of Kishiro's input. Building on the J-series' frame, Samura Industries soon introduced the K30 Kin to the Kusari public. Touted as better armored yet nimbler than its openly available competitors, the Kin was purpose-built to ferry goods through the treacherous nebulae and asteroid fields of Kusari, to and from Samura's farthest flung operations with the utmost speed and safety.
