Star Wars: Episode VII - Narcotic - 03-19-2014

Are you as excited as I am?

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Binski - 03-19-2014

If by excited you mean horrified, then yes. There's an old saying, let sleeping dogs lie. As if the prequel trilogy wasn't bad enough.

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Narcotic - 03-19-2014

Yes, I used the term "excited" as wordplay.

On the one side, I'm excited about a new episode, and on the other hand, I'm excited about them trying.

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Binski - 03-19-2014

Well I'm all for new everything, it all sounds good [in theory]. I was severely disappointed with all the new trek, so I fear the same with the 'wars. There's too much computer animation, and its aimed at too young an audience all to sell toys and merch to young kids. I swear to God if I hear any Beasty Boys or 90's hip hop! *cracks knuckles* Disney gives me little confidence it will be any different, but I'll hold out hope...for now Wink

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Technogeist - 03-19-2014

God. No. Spare me, Disney.

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Highland Laddie - 03-19-2014

Disney is capable of making good movies, as is J.J Abrams.

But, ever since Episode I came out, I've been EXTREMELY skeptical about getting hopes up. Lucas shattered my blind hype for all things Starwars. Screw you, George.

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Luke. - 03-19-2014

Just...let it keep the legacy has and lets not murder it for god sake.

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Narcotic - 03-19-2014

As long as there's money to make, people give a damn about "legacies".

Just think of all the merchandise products that will come, and all the licenses.
Yet alone the name "Star Wars" will get millions of people into the cinemas. Disney will earn a lot.

Just think of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit...

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Luke. - 03-19-2014

They weren't revived after years of stagnation though. There's just no need. It's all for money you're right but it's that, that annoys me.

RE: Star Wars: Episode VII - Lythrilux - 03-19-2014

I just want my SWB3 and KotOR3 8|
