Well I'm all for new everything, it all sounds good [in theory]. I was severely disappointed with all the new trek, so I fear the same with the 'wars. There's too much computer animation, and its aimed at too young an audience all to sell toys and merch to young kids. I swear to God if I hear any Beasty Boys or 90's hip hop! *cracks knuckles* Disney gives me little confidence it will be any different, but I'll hold out hope...for now
Disney is capable of making good movies, as is J.J Abrams.
But, ever since Episode I came out, I've been EXTREMELY skeptical about getting hopes up. Lucas shattered my blind hype for all things Starwars. Screw you, George.
As long as there's money to make, people give a damn about "legacies".
Just think of all the merchandise products that will come, and all the licenses.
Yet alone the name "Star Wars" will get millions of people into the cinemas. Disney will earn a lot.
