History:

The Heisenberg Research Station was originally founded in 761 A.S. as a Rheinland government owned observatory and laboratory dedicated to the study of planetary body movements within the resource rich fringes of the Walker Nebula, as well as to record the orbital phenomenons around Planet Steinfurt. A minor research station, it remained crewed by a small number of scientists for the next 6 years until the Rheinland government faced yet another wave of overbearing financial cuts and had decided to abandon the station. Powered down and abandoned for the next 50 years, Heisenberg fell into steady disrepair before eventually being repressurised by a group of squatters following the chaos of the Nomad War.

With most of its research equipment still intact and the stabilisation of a number of surrounding jump holes the station quickly found itself in the middle of many fringe trade and smuggling routes. Frequented regularly by passing explorers and adventurers, Heisenberg became something of a small freeport, while at the same time attracting many astronomers and astrophysicists from all across Sirius with its scientific equipment, and gaining a reputation of being a politically neutral place for great minds of science to converge and discuss their findings.

In 817 A.S., Prof.Dr. Wilhelm Täll united the scientists in the station and founded the Heisenberg Research Center as a neutral Non-Gouvernment-Organisation.

Code of Conduct:
  1. Heisenberg Research Center is a strictly neutral organisation to all parties in Sirius.
  2. HRC is financed by donations from parties and individuals, who respect and honor article 1.
  3. All space related scientists are welcome to work in HRC, including, but not limited to physicists, astrophysicists, astronomers and medical scientists.
  4. All results of our researchs will be released to the public (maybe limited by proofed security concerns).
  5. HRC will collect astronomic data all over sirius to provide well-founded information to the mankind about risks and dangers in space.

Responsibilities:

Administrator: Prof.Dr. Wilhelm Täll
Deputy Administrator: Dr. Frank Smith (interim)
Scientific Management: Prof. Masao Koizumi (interim)

Financial Encouragement

As Heisenberg Research Center is a Non-Government-Organisation, we are in need of financial encouragement. All donations from all parties are accepted and appreciated. Independently from the amount of payment, the donator accepts he will not have any influence, nether on what, nor on how the money is spend. All spends are discussed and decided in the science council board without any influence from third parties.
To support our work for the mankind, please send your donation to "HRC-ShuttleXI".

Ships used:

- HRC-KopernikusIV E78-12 Spatial Deep Space Explorer
- HRC-KopernikusV E78-12 Spatial Deep Space Explorer
- HRC-ShuttleXI DSE-720 "Camara" Civilian Freighter

Current Activities:

- Collecting and analyzing electromagnetic waves from all over sirius.
- (Reviewing the available map collection of the sirius sector) done
- Project SirEx

New Ship delivered

Heisenberg Research Station/Koeln System (HRC) Last Week, Java Station finished a new Ship ordered by HRC. It was delivered to the Heisenberg Research Station a few days ago. Local technicians installed additional equipment and handed it over to a team of HRC-technicians to install a large number of scientifical hardware. The ship is a E78-12 Spatial Deep Space Explorer. With its extended pilot bay and full sized geological survey suite, the ship fits perfect to the needs of a long term deep space expedition. The new ship with the call-sign HRC-KopernikusV will be used for an expedition within Sirius space. The scientist are currently working on the last details of this mission. The Scientifical Times will inform you on this soon.
The HRC-KopernikusV is equipped with the latest weapon techology for self defence only. Its shield and armor are based on the latest development. With this ship, Heisenberg Research Center is prepared to fulfill its mandate to deliver scientic information to the whole mankind in Sirius Sector.
Prof.Dr. Täll

Location closed

Heisenberg Research Station/Koeln System (HRC) The HRC will be closed between feb. 6th and 11th.
Cause of the traditional carneval in the Koeln system, our location will be off duty from thursday to tuesday. The Heisenberg Research Center will be back in service on ash wednesday again. We wish all employees and scientist lots of fun while the "crazy days". Please keep in mind, there will be a higher presence of the RFP| while these days, so please don't drink and fly.
Koelle Alaaf!

Space Mission announced

Heisenberg Research Station/Koeln System (HRC) Today a new mission was announced by the administrator Pro. Dr. Täll from HRC. It is named Project SirEx and will collect astrophisical data from all over Sirius sector.
We are happy to be able to talk to Prof. Dr. Taell right after his presentation:

The ST: Congratulations to your presentation. It looks like, this mission is a real challenge?

Prof. Dr. Taell: Thank you. Indeed, it is. It will bond most of our resources, the financiel as well as the scietifical.

The ST: Why do you think, it is worth to spend a lot of money for this mission?

Prof. Dr. Taell: We in HRC realized the age of our data from most known systems. For scientifical work, the information is mostly useless. We need the latest data to ensure we understand the changes in space. Only with the latest data available, we can predict what will happen or if we face a catastrophe in near future.

The ST: It all about economie in Sirius. Do you really belive, your organisation will be supported in any way by anybody?

Prof. Dr. Taell: The data, we are collecting on our mision, will help everybody! Knowledge about changes can help protecting existing Stations, lanes and Jumpgates. Also it will lower the investments necessary for new installations. Under this point of view, it will be a good deal for all parties in Sirius to support HRC somehow on this mission.

The ST: Within Sirius there are hundrets of organisation with different interests. How can you handle this?

Prof. Dr. Taell: HRC ist an independent and neutral organisation. We will treat all parties the same way. I am sure, everybody will understand and accept this. Before we start the exploration of a system, we will contact every organisation with an interest in this system and discuss and solve the concerns of all involved.

The ST: Space is dangerous. There are some crazy organizations like Wilde and hairbrained individuals as well...

Prof. Dr. Taell: This concerns me most. To be prepared for every possibility, we set up our Explorer as save as possible. Unfortunally, we could not find a company offering a cloak fitting into the E78-12. We do not hauling anything, so we hope, our team will not be a target of pirates as we do not have a good financial backround to pay anything. Our crew has the strict order to act as defensive and diffident as possible. The usage of their weapons is restricted on self defence only if no other solution for their safety is found.

The ST: So what are the next steps on your mission?

Prof. Dr. Taell: We will start our expedition right here in Koeln-system within the next days. But first we have to go through the communication with the related Rheinland organisations.

The ST: Thank you for the interview, Prof.Dr. Taell. We wish you all the best on this mission.

Prof. Dr. Taell: Thank you.
