Reason:
The space changes over the years and centuries. The last complet mapping of the Sirius Sector was long ago and the maps became old and inaccurately. New systems have been found and the Gallians connected to this sector.
To build new stations, lanes and jumpgates as well as to secure and maintain the existing ones, it is necessary to have the latest information available. It is in the interest of all houses, organisations and companies to have this information. It will help to enhance the safety in space, to ensure investments are future-proof and gives the chance to act in cases of natural disasters faster or potentially even before they happen and cause thousands of deaths.
Goals: HRC (Heisenberg Research Center) hast the hard- and software, the equipment and the knowledge to gather this information. Our E78-12 Spatial Deep Space Explorer will fly to all known systems and collect information about planets, moons, fields, asteroids, stations, jumpholes and -gates and tradelanes. This data will be given to all in Sirius through this channel.
The project SirEx is set up as a longterm mission. HRC was able to gather enough donation for the first steps and we are quiet sure, upcoming donations will be in place to fulfill the complete mission.
Execution:
The Deep Space Explorer is manned with 2 spacecrew members and 3 scientists. Before the beginning of the exploration of a system, local authorities, companies and organisations will be contacted via standart communication systems to ensure, they are informed about our presence and goals. Concern and objections can be discussed and dissolved at this stage.
Results:
All results of Project SirEx will be published in this channel. It may happen some information is kept restricted, if understandable concern regarding safety are made or if it could cause mortal danger to any persons. Restricted data will be kept save in HRC, visible only to proofed scientists with a legal need of this information. As HRC is an independent and neutral organisation, we can guarantee the protection of this data.
