Synopsis

AP Manufacturing is a rich and successful company based in Omicron Rho. Deep within Omicrons, far from long hands of House laws and prying eyes of House intelligence alike, AP Manufacturing conducts research, reverse engineering and development of cutting edge technologies one may consider too dangerous or unethical to undertake. Enjoying the capacities of its own Alabama Shipyard, this heavy industrial company is able not only to implement its own weapon and ship designs but manufacture full scale warships, chiefly operated by its military division, known as The Core.

Under the protection of The Core, AP Manufacturing carries out various activities, including numerous R&D projects, civilian and military engineering, modular construction, ship and station assembling and disassembling, as well as performing necessary logistic operations for The Core. Larger capital vessels of the AP production line (Thresher Destroyer, Bullhead Battlecruiser and Mako Battleship) are almost exclusively reserved for the needs of The Core, while snubcrafts (Manta Very Heavy Fighter, Hammerhead Heavy Fighter, Sea Serpent Light Fighter) and gunboats (Bottlenose Gunship and Orca Gunboat) are exported in high numbers to the chief contractor of the company, The Bounty Hunters Guild, as well as to other interested (and rich enough to afford it) lawful parties.

AP Manufacturing closely studies Iridium within Omicron Delta, extracting and probing it for any uses which could prove economically beneficial. The company closely guards mining and exportation of Iridium, not wanting any other faction in the Omicrons to benefit from it.

Logistics

AP Manufacturing imports commodities to Core bases that are either for ship building purposes or research purposes. Otherwise, they trade around Sirius to both show their presence and source funds for themselves and The Core.

Mining

AP Manufacturing has a keen interest in the Iridium Fields in Omicron Delta. Since their venture into the Edgeworlds, they have been carefully researching and monitoring Iridium and looking for the best means to extract it. They fiercely control the mining of this commodity, not letting anyone else harvest their resource from their fields.

Research

Unbeknownst to the rest of Sirius AP Manufacturing conducts experiments and research, often of the unethical and immoral variety, in Alabama Shipyard. One of the key reasons why AP Manufacturing left for the Edgeworlds was to get out of the eyes of house laws, where they could conduct their experiments undisturbed. Human Augmentation

Test subjects, often in the forms of captured enemy pilots, criminals or slaves, make fine candidates for human augmentation. Test subjects are often put through a grueling and painful process (which they're unlikely to survive) where their bodies will be augmented with machinery (such as Artificial Intelligence technology) or alien technology for the sake of creating super soldiers and other ultimate beings. Other experiments with human augmentation also include attempts to mimic the telepathy ability expressed in Nomads.

Human Cloning

AP Manufacturing conducts research into human cloning, for the sake of creating an expendable yet infinite source of pilots for their Edgeworlds operations, and for other shadier corporations who may need highly obedient and highly expendable security.

Advanced Ship and Weapon technology

Technology found within the Edgeworlds is used to boost the efficiency of AP Manufacturing's ship design.

There are many other experiments that AP Manufacturing conducts, however those are far more secretive. Who knows what twisted science may be going on in Omicron Rho?
