The Bayonet, as it has come to be known, was in development for almost two decades. Blending traditional Border Worlds ship technologies with state of the art systems designed in collaboration with Lane Hacker technicians, it brings an exquisite mixture of firepower, armor and speed to the battlefield. This "jack of all trades", unlike others of it's class, is a master of them as well.
The vessel's oversized heatsinks play host to a dizzying array of sensitive electronic surveying and splicing equipment, allowing it to maintain the role of a dedicated intelligence gatherer while its more combat orientated brethren dominate the battlefield.

Review
After many, many hours spent in the Bayonet (2 to be exact), I was given the green light by my good friend and extremely skillful pilot, Terrance Cooper, to write this review. First of all, the Bayonet is by no means an easy ship to fly. If someone told you it was, he was a dirty liar! The Bayonet, due to its shape and speed, is an extremely hard ship to fly and master. You have to be extremely skillful to be good in a Bayonet, especially if you have 8.33 refire rate laser weapons mounted (i.e. Reavers). With that setup, it takes x2 skill to fly it and preform good with it. Trust me, I know, because I have to be at peak concentration when I fly my 8.33 Bayonet! I have to use all my skill to be good in it, just like my friend Terrance Cooper (who is a very very skillful Bayonet pilot, because like I said, you have to be skillful to fly it). A good basic tactic for the Bayonet is just to fly circles around your opponent, who will be confused because you will be behind him most of the time (keep in mind that this takes a lot of skill!!). Then, when you get behind him, unleash the fury of your 8.33 refire weapons onto his hull, although remember, these weapons are hard to aim! All in all, the Bayonet is a perfectly balanced ship (and if you use 8.33 laser weapons, it's even more balanced, but takes more skill to fly). My ship of choice, and that of my good friend and extremely skillful pilot Terrance "Black Mamba" Cooper. Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Dubstep |
