The Planet Iridescencia, named after the optical phenomenon "Iridescence" in which hue changes with the angle from which a surface is viewed, is a good example of how something can be beautiful and simple at first, yet still deadlier than an entire fleet of warships when examined closer. It is possessing no memorable resources, and its most notable features are that the surface is ravaged by never-ending electrical storms still visible from outer space, almost impossibly intense acid rains and near-constant volcanic eruptions. However, while this has made any future plans for terraforming more than unlikely to happen, one must ask himself whether that is not for the better, for when observed from a close distance the interaction of the forces of nature creates a breathtaking, ever-changing and never-repeating sight. Unfortunately, this has more than once drawn a foolish pilot who wanted to take a closer look far too deep into the planet's gravity well. The [[Hellfire Legion]], being well aware of those "accidents", say that it is the pure beauty of destruction itself that makes those weak of heart not see the risks, and thus have nicknamed the planet the "Land of the blind".

The Planet Iridescencia, named after the optical phenomenon "Iridescence" in which hue changes with the angle from which a surface is viewed, is a good example of how something which appears to be beautiful and simple at first can be deadly up close. No surveys of the surface have been taken, due to the extremely hostile conditions on the planet. The atmosphere is toxic, with massive volcanoes billowing up a mixture of sulphuric vapors and ash. These create violent lightning storms and intense showers of acidic rain which consume most man-made materials in minutes. While this can be a beautiful sight to behold from orbit, any pilot who foolishly ventures too deep into the planet's gravity well is fated never to return.
