Gunboats

Jump to navigationJump to searchGunboat is the designation for the largest and least agile of sub-capital ships. A relatively small number of these are owned by private hands, as they are easier to fly than full capital ships. While no gunboats are produced for explicitly for independent use, those with strong diplomatic relations may be able to negotiate for one.
There is also a terminological difference between "Gunboat" and "Gunship", for reference please see Gunboats & Gunships.
When purchased, these vessels will show up as a "Freighter" on the ship purchase dialog. This is because Freelancer itself was never intended to have these large ships classes available for play, and cannot be practically or safely fixed. The inRP class is listed on the full infocard.
