Before joining the Revolutionary Army
Prior to joining the SCRA, Han was schooled at the JiangXi Military Academy and joined the Revolutionary Guard at age 18. His time in the Guard saw him protect vital ground based civilian transports of highly sensitive materials. Two days before the bombing of JiangXi, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and posted to Zhukovsky Station. In the aftermath of the bombing, he transferred to the SCRA and plied his trade as a bomber pilot until he was spotted by the then Captain Ling and transferred to the CPW-Xi'an.
Serving onboard the CPW-Xi'an
Lt Xu joined the crew of the Xi'an right at the outbreak of the Coalition Civil War. Following a sneak attack by the Loyalist Trotsky, half the crew of the Xi'an were killed and the ship itself was reduced to a quivering wreck. While Captain Ling became a figurehead of the Rebel forces, leading charges deep into Loyalist territory, Lt Xu spent his days fixing the broken warship and running supply missions to equip the poorly armed Rebel forces.
Finally, a breakthrough was made with the capture of Dr XiaoBei and the subsequent capture of Boa Vista in Omega-50. The Rebel forces under the lead of newly promoted Major Ling charged forth into Omega-52, while Lt Xu was one again forced into bringing up the rear with three remaining gunboats the Rebel forces owned.
Following the end of the war, Ling was promoted to the rank of Commandant and in turn - Han was promoted to the rank of Major.
Major Xu was given full command of the Xi'an, and the new Commandant ensured that whatever Han required in terms of equipment, personnel or technology - He could have it. The Xi'an would become the most advanced Gunboat in the Coalition fleet - No matter the cost.
