Xenos tell the story that the lead weapon designer on the team responsible for developing the Xeno's antimatter cannon frequently wore a yellow jacket, which gave this weapon its name. Others claim that the weapon leaks radiation so badly that its handlers turn yellow from illness. Few outsiders believe that the Xenos were capable of designing such a sophisticated weapon themselves, and suspect that its blueprints were actually stolen, or its designers were kidnapped scientists. Regardless of the cannon's real origins, it punches through capital ship armor with sufficient force to make a Xeno bomber a competent adversary and a serious threat to foreign shipping or Liberty Navy capital ship patrols that lack fighter escorts.
