After the destruction of Battleship Oubli and numerous support craft, the Royal Navy decided to dispatch an additional Valor, the Betheny, and its accompanying fleet into the Leeds system. As the Gallic invasionary fleets continued to press onwards, despite their losses, the fleet commodore adopted a far more cautious approach when holding the Leeds front and securing the vital supply lines. Battleship Betheny and its forces were previously tasked with orbital support duties for the Gallic forces fighting on Leeds, and to act as a rearguard to help cover the Carcassonne fleet's advance.
In 824 AS the Battleship Betheny received orders to redeploy to the Magellan system where it continues to act as rearguard in wake of the Carcassonne's advance. In addition to its previous duties, the Betheny is now responsible for holding the Magellan blockade at the ruins of Freeport 4 and providing general support to Royal Navy assets within the region.
